Pat Kirwan considers several interesting possibilities for the Chefs and QB Matt Cassel, who is still only signed to his franchise tender. One fascinating scenario would have Cassel signing with Denver next winter. So, get the picks for Cutler and McD gets his guy anyway, at the cost of a season's time? Interesting...

Thanks for the links. The Chicago article was interesting, but not as interesting as the 87 comments. I hope Cutler can perform under his “god-like” status. LOL!

Interest in Plaxico
Ya why would you want to pay for a big time receiver when we all know that the QB makes his receivers better. Hester is already projected for 16 TDs this year and 1400 yards.
Tis better not to throw it to the deep receiver but the open receiver.
sarcastic nagging your area of expertise stud?

Good mornig!
CT More of the same… slow sports news week. BTW Has Jay asked for a new contract
?
The Cassel thing is interesting… Never thought I’d be wondering about tossing off a year to get him! Considering the odds KC lets him get away, here’s to hoping they sign him to a huge contract which they’re sorry for …for years after finding out that he was merely a product of the system and players NE had in place the one year he played well!!
Just a mean little hope for the Chefs.
thanks nyc
