Most Improved for 2009?
Okay MHR some of you have read my Posts in the past. You aren't going to see a in depth story full of great football research and insight. Sorry I don't have the time and I'm just not that guy. My post usually are designed for me to learn from you. What I want to know this time is who do you all think will be the most improved Denver Bronco this year and why. As for me you have to look no further than my avatar, that's right WW. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hmmm...
I guess the obvious pick is Kyle Orton…
"A player who conjugates a verb in the first person singular cannot be part of the squad, he has to conjugate the verb in the first person plural. We. We want to conquer. We are going to conquer. Using the word 'I' when you're in a group makes things complicated." ~ Wanderley Luxemburgo, 1999

WW is a great choice but...
I think Kyle Orton will be the most improved Bronco. He’ll have a great offense line, workhorse running backs, quaility wide receivers ( even w/o Marshall), and a (I hope) very efficient scheme from McDaniels. IMHOP Orton and the Broncos are going to surprise alot of teams this year.
Go Broncos!!!

I have thought of a few who will be better IMO.
Hillis for one will be an improved back this year, he’ll learn to shake tacklers instead of running over them.
I am looking for Moss, Crowder and Dumervil get more sacks this year.
Kyle Orton will have a better year in the passing department, through the teachings of McDaniels.
Tony Scheffler will have move catches and scores this year.
Brian Dawkins has something to prove to the Eagles why they shouldn’t of let him go.
Other than that we should have a rather dull year don’t you think.

Well
His name WON"T be Ryan. Lol

Most improved
The players, coaches, and fans around KO.

Well, I honestly think EVERYONE will improve but if I had to narrow it down....
I’d say the entire ST unit will be 100 times better. Not only will they be more efficient with P/K returns, they will be excellent at giving the opposing team a long field to deal with. I hope Kern becomes a coffin corner type punter this year, that would make my year.

A big key Cali
The special teams could be a difference maker for the 2009 season. STs can easily win/save two to three games a year. We do it every year in Chicago. They could be the difference between 10-6 and 12-4 for the Broncos.

I just hope to see our ST do well enough
to not let us LOSE a game…if that makes any sense.

I know exactely what you mean.
Like kicking to Devin Hester TWICE in the same game, when our ST was barely able to contain to begin with… shakes his head

Well.... At this juncture... I'm thinking
If we’re talkin’ best improved stat-wise, I’d have to say Champ…. For obvious reasons.
Otherwise, as far as a player who was a Bronco last year, Elvis, as it wasn’t his best year last year, and I’m hoping for some awesome pass coverage from him as well!
But if we’re talkin’ player in general (who wasn’t necessarily a Bronco, but is also not a rookie), then I must concur with those above, in that Kyle will prove his talent this year.
Dig the thoughts, thanks!
First team to three consecutive SB wins!!!! and then some, right? I think four and we oughtta let someone else have a fair shot : )

Great input from everyone so far Thanks.
I like to see Champ as a selection and WPN X.
Hillis will probable be more improved just by staying on the field and healthy.
I was thinking more along the lines of a Bronco from last year who is still a Bronco this year. But I like the mention of KO.

Kicking
Prater will be better because he’ll know what to expect and won’t burn out his leg. Whoever the punter is will be better because … I don’t know just because I think so.

I'm going out on a limb
The obvious choice is Kyle Orton, and he’ll have his best year.
ST isn’t a person, so it doesn’t count, but it too will improve greatly.
Here’s my tree-climbing, branch-dangling prediction:
Crowder. I think he will make the transition to LB better than Dumervil and Moss. Dumervil will get on the field, but Crowder will eventually become the primary guy as an OLB because he can stop the run and pass cover (I think), the two most important duties of the position.
Lots of people want Doom, but pass rushing is a minor duty of OLB. He will have to do the basics well to be an every-down player. Nothing sexy about Crowder, but he’ll end up winning the job as the season progresses. Going from bubble to starter is the greatest improvement any player can make, don’t you agree?

The DL will improve as a unit....
With better coaching and talent, there’s no way it can’t. Marcus Thomas was a solid starter last year, but experience and scheme make him better this time around. Still, I have a good feeling we’ll get to see something from Carlton Powell. I was excited to see him drafted, only to see him injured. From IR to contributing in games, even if he’s not listed as a starter, is a vast improvement.

Moss or Crowder
Both had terrible seasons in 08, but both have the athletic skill to do much better with a position shift to a spot that is better for them, and with better coaching (it can’t be any worse). Prater will also improve greatly.
The sage is full of anxiety and indecision in undertaking anything, and so he is always successful.

260 and playing OLB? He’s going to love the position

Improved...i would say
Orton: better o-line, better WR, Better run game, better system
Reid: Strong, Fast guy, who has a chance to shine on defense
Powell/Feilds/Thomas/McBean: All will be key parts to our D-Line regardless if they are starting or not.
DJ: Finally in a position where he can make plays

Hmmm...
Well since you’re looking for a previous Bronco who is returing (which are few who weren’t completely outstanding last year) I would have to say Matt Prater as well. He learned a LOT of things the hard way last year. This season should be a huge improvement on consistancy, and late season performance.
I don’t know if anyone else remember the beginning of last season, but he was booming kicks straight down the middle from above average distances. Supposedly his biggest downfall was too many kicks before the game, and just to much leg work in general.
I don’t know about you guys, but a guy that loves to kick so much, with the power and accuracy we’ve all seen him weild consistanly (at least in the beginning of last season); I think once he gets his practice reps and workload balanced he’ll be the second coming of Elam. I know that’s saying a lot already, but its very possible..

Carlton Powell
The kid was on IR his whole rookie season.
