Rumor Mill:Julius Peppers to the Broncos?
Nothing super here not even any fact just saw on my friends facebook that talks could possibly be going on between Denver Carolina and Julius Peppers. True or not the time he spent here last reloading season and the amount of Nuggets tickets he bought this year could add up to a lot of things anyway just figured I would throw this out there and see if anyone had some evidence or if their was any truth to the Rumor. Later guys!

Didn't he just sign his deal with Carolina?
Conundrum.

no just his one year tender. he will make only 16 million this year and be a free agent next season. Which Carolina can franchise him again

I Kinda addressed this
in SteveO’s post.
Yes, I’d like to see Peppers as a Bronco. But, he comes with a large price tag.

Yep.
I’d love to have him for exactly half of what he is being paid this year. I know he is a beast, but I’ve never been a huge fan of his. My feelings probably stem from only hearing about him complaining about his contract or something else. Meh, I feel good about the talent we have right now, albeit young or unproven. If we are going to spend that much change on a player, I would spend it on an elite NT.

I agree
I like our young guys – someone from the Pedescleaux, Davis, Thomas, et. al. bunch will turn out to be good. If we bring in Peppers, that’s one less spot for one of these young guys. And I like the team chemistry the way it is – I’m afraid that if we bring in a super star it could cause problems. I don’t think Peppers is the most team oriented player out there. Plus, he’d cost too much, way too much.
The sage is full of anxiety and indecision in undertaking anything, and so he is always successful.

I wouldnt want him for that pricetag
he would be the rush LB(right), a position we are actually pretty deep in with Doom, Darrel Reid and Jarvis Moss(all unproven but as is Peppers in a 34). If he could play 34 end then yes i would love to have him but just as a one year 34 rush LB being paid 16 Million then no.

Technically..
In the 3-4 he would be that hybrid LB/DE Pass rusher position. … but honestly I don’t see Denver making a move like that. Not for that price, and not when we just drafted a young hopeful (Ayers) to do that very thing.

Wow...deja vu...I just read this same thing like one row dow, you totally weirded me out man...
Just kidding, Julius Peppers would be the bomb, just not at his price thank you. I’ll see what Moss can do since he was a 1st rd draft pick by the guru Shanny. I know, the injuries the poor boy suffered, well he better get well and start living up to the pick.

I would love him here, but I honestly think he is a better 4-3 end than a 3-4 OLB
which seems to be what he wants to play. So unless we are planning to revert to a 4-3, I would have to say not right now.

Why pay premium for a new position
I don’t think it is a good idea to pay top dollar and move the guy to a position he has never played before. Seems very riskey

agreed to a certain point.
Peppers isn’t exactly a pushover. He’s bound to make plays wherever he goes. In that sense, it wouldn’t be such a bad thing for him to be an OLB on a 3-4. He’s the type of guy that knows how to get to the ball and make plays, regardless of what defense he’s a part of.
