Thanks for sharing that story J-man.

Sounds like you had a total blast and that is really cool you got to meet everyone….especially being able to go to the locker room. Looks like you were their good luck charm that day.

I've been to a few games

But I never got to go into their locker room. Congratulations, my friend, and thank you for taking your time to share this with us. Rec’d!

Thats ausome.

I met a few of the Broncos, can’t remember which ones exctly, except Elway back in the 80s when they came to Cheyenne, WY to play a fundraiser basketball game against the Harlem Globetrotters…

just wish i wasn’t so young back then to understand what an ausome experience that was.

Awesome Story J-Man!!!

Thanks for sharing your story, and thanks for putting into perspective what all of this should mean to all of us! The Broncos are a galvanizing force for all of us, from all corners of the globe, and despite our differences we need to come together for the common goal. Success for the Orange and Blue.

Thanks for allowing MHR to be part of your day and reminding me once again why it is that I love this site so much!!!

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Man, jeremy you made my day!!!

I’m just a little bit envious that you got to meet the players, but I enjoyed them through you. Thanks man, and a prayer goes out for you.

Jman, that was a great story.

Out of all the Broncos you met back then, who stuck out as the nicest guy?

Must have been really cool

Hey all. Paddy here from over at Arrowhead Pride. Jman posted over at our place wishing us good luck for the season and Joel linked us over here to check out his story. Nice to have some good fansmanship. Jman’s story is good reminder of why we have our differences; our love of our teams.

In the spirit of Jman’s post over at AP I wish you guys good luck this season. (Just not more luck than the Chiefs)

Cheers.

Make a Wish

Anyone wanting to help kids with life threatening illnesses have a wish come true like our buddy j-man can visit the Make a Wish site and help out. It is a terrific program, and well worth anything you can give.

Make A Wish is awesome

I too know several people who have been able you use this amazing program. If you’re looking for a charity to donate to, this one is well worth it.

Also, thanks for the post j-man, you’re a true fan and we’re happy to have you in the MHR family.

Well

Now that is just OUTSTANDING to hear j-man!!!

Hopefully you can make it out to another game sometime (with or without the locker room visit, it will still rock!)

- Thanks for sharing that experience with all of us (and some Chiefs fans apparently, LoL – no really, like Patrick stated, it is a good reminder – I’m not sure how many stadiums have the signs ours do on the way into seating:

“Respect the game. Respect each other.”
Because THAT is what it’s all about (no, it’s not the hokey-pokey, contrary to some bumper stickers I’ve seen) Thanks again j-man! Fare thee well and look forward to hearing more!

A true Fan and real class act

Just had to stop by and reciprocate the good wishes and say how lucky you are to have memories like that. Most fans on here or over at Arrowhead pride would love to experience what you did but I doubt any of us would relish those memories as much as you seem to. Best of wishes to you and the Broncos a true fan and sportsman like you deserves a great team.

WOW That is totally awesome!!!

I am so glad that you got to do that, the make a wish group is so nice and provides so many great things for so many kids. My youngest son has been fighting cancer for the last 5 years and he really wants to go see a game in Denver he can’t do the make a wish thing right now since he has weekly treatments but I am hoping we can get out there this year for a game. We met a lady with Camp Quality out here in Missouri a few months ago who is a season ticket holder in Denver and lives about 20 miles from us (no longer lives in Denver), she said she would let us have tickets if we ever want to go, ever since her offer he keeps telling me we need to go.

It’s great that you found the site, this is THE place for Broncos fans!! And thanks for sharing your story, I love hearing about all the good people that are still out there in this world.

That's awesome!

Loved your write up and am glad you got to meet everyone.

I found it hilarious that you named all these great players and then mention the o-line as a unit and not individuals. Not sure why but I have a tendency to think of them more as a team\unit then as individual players. Its kinda sad acutally since they have been consistently superb for over 10 years and some years by far our best players.

by trumanj on Jul 21, 2009 12:05 PM MDT reply actions

Thanks for sharing that j-man

I bet a lot of us have some good Broncos stories but none better than yours! I had to look up that game and I remember it as a good one. R. Smith goes over 100 yds with a TD. M. Anderson goes over 150 and a TD. And D. O’Neal picks off 4 T. Green passes. Not to mention the cheerleaders at the dinner the night before. Good work!
