4th and Long
Hey everyone, this fanpost isn't really related to the Denver Broncos, but it sure is related to football. I just finished up watching the season finale of 4th and Long on Spike TV, and it was great. I think it is a pretty cool idea having guys competing for a spot to go to training camp with the Dallas Cowboys, but it would be even cooler if it was for the Broncos. Now if you haven't seen the finale, stop reading right now because I don't want to spoil it for you. But here is my question to you guys if you watched: Was Jesse Holley the right choice? Personally, I was a big fan of Andrew Hawkins. He kind of reminds me a bit of Eddie Royal. Great character guy, who is small for his position, but just dominates anyone who steps in his path. He is also a great return man and and excellent gunner. It will be interesting to see where he goes, because this guy can play in the NFL. Another question I have is: If you were Brian Xanders, would you invite this guy to go to camp at Dove Valley? I would in a heart beat! He could battle with Lloyd, Jackson, and McKinely for a spot on the team. So yeah, that's my thoughts on 4th and Long. I can't wait for next season. It was a pretty entertaining show. Tell me what you think. Did the Cowboys make the right call?

I was hoping someone would make a post about this.
To answer your first question, Holly deserved to win. He has good hands, good size and runs good routes. He has been solid throughout the show. As for your second question, why not. I think he could exell in the right role. What was your opinion about the DBs? I thought that they were very ordinary.

thanks for the comment!
it didnt really make much sense to me though because pretty much the whole show they stressed how you must be good at special teams. and hawkins was the best special teams player out there. but i guess the cowboys are really looking for a guy that can possible turn into a #2 guy or whatever. hawkins is more like the pesky slot guy that will give you trouble. hawkins will land somewhere. it will be interesting to see what happens to these two guys because i thought they played on a higher level than the rest of these guys.
as for the DBs, i thought they were mediocre. moses washington shouldn’t have gone as far as he did. he couldn’t tackle, and his coverage skills sucked. as for smith and moten, they did’t really do much to impress me, although both of them did make some pretty nice plays. the WRs just dominated the whole season, IMO. next season spike better pick out actual DBs instead of going after 28-year old track stars.

GET TO CAMP BRANDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When you think about it
Holly wasn’t bad at special teams and the cowboys favor big guys. Hawkins should find a spot on a team. He reminds me of a less-talented Percy Harvin but without the attitude. I agree about Washington. I would maybe give Smith a chance but I wouldn’t expect much.
