Denver, we (may still) have a problem...

It seemed we might be able to breathe easy... maybe relax a little after the tumultuous off-season and its accompanying bad-mouthing of all things Broncos by the MSM (and, unfortunately, a portion of its "fans").  After all, Training Camp was humming along, BMarsh was back in town and on the field and, from all reports, he looked good and appeared happy to be part of the team.

Then his alter ago - Brandon Maridiot - showed up after the second practice.

CBS4 news had their pair of sports reporters, Miller and Lombardi, doing a wrap-up after practice and Marshall made an impromptu appearance.  It looked like everyone was having fun with it, Lombardi was joking around saying the "Broncos should just trade Marshall for a couple of bags of footballs" while Marshall was walking by - they obviously had it set up beforehand - and then Marshall decided to make one comment, his only one of the day to the press, from what I understand:

"Who was the agent in Jerry McGuire?" whispered Marshall to Miller on camera before trotting off laughing.

Anyone who has seen the movie Jerry McGuire knows exactly what that question means, and Miller laid it out on the evening sports report in case there was any misunderstanding.  The agent in Jerry McGuire is the one who yelled  "Show me the money!" until his client was convinced the agent was going to look out for his best interests.

So Marshall makes one statement to the tv press on Friday.  When he could have said anything that might rehab even a portion of his image, he let Bronco fans know he was only interested in "Show me the money!"

Can somebody pass me an Excedrin please?  Make it extra strength... better yet, make it two.
