13 Reasons I Believe

I Believe.....

That 6 months is far too long to wait for football season to begin.

The Denver Broncos are the Classiest organization in the NFL.

Peyton Hillis is of the species Thunderous Ballcarrius.

Kyle Orton will do just fine.

That Josh McDaniels has a plan.

That Champ Bailey is a Class Act.

The Broncos Offensive Line is the Best in the League.

I will do more cheering than cursing at the TV this season.

Brian Dawkins is the signal caller that has been missing from our Defense.

Knowshon Moreno was the right choice at #12.

Character is just as important as Talent.

Pat Bowlen made the right call, no matter how hard it is to accept.

MHR IS a reason to Believe.

I believe all of the above

Plus, I believe the Broncos will have a very good season IF all 53 players come September can get together behind the new coaching schemes. We have so many talented players and good new coaches, but can they have it put together by the time they travel to Cincinnati? Especially the front seven – especially with all the movement from DE to outside LB and so on.
But IF we can beat Cincinnati and then the Browns we could be off and running to the post season.

The sage is full of anxiety and indecision in undertaking anything, and so he is always successful.

With or without BMarsh….#19 will be the #1 WR.

13-3 Baby!!!

3 things we won’t see this season:

1) Me first attitude.
2) defensive line getting run over and feeling dazed and confused.
3) More points scored with less yards made, this will confuse the msm because that’s not glamorous enough for them.

Thirteen and three of my favorite things...

1. BDawk in the middle, say no more
2. Clady flipping DEs over and around like turtles in the surf
3. Doom and Gloom (Ayers) appearing in the backfield from gaps and techniques not yet labeled.
4. Wondering what magic McD will pull out of his hat next.
5. Scoring in the Red Zone
6. Pick 6s (especially on Rivers)
7. The attitude, hard work and commitment instilled into the Bronco DNA from the one and only #7
8. Hillis knocking a LB back on his butt
9. Starting drives from the 35
10.Ten or more play drives
11. A positive turnover differential
12. Hearing the MSM say “we were so wrong”
13. A lucky number of victories this season
and
1. Alphonso’s first pick
2. Ayer’s first sack
3. Knowshon’s first TD, 100 yd game, 1000yd season, first Pro Bowl, etc….

Good stuff b-rat

I should have incorporated the 13-3 theme in this post.

Hey KK

at least you got the 13 part. I’d have been worried if you only came up with 3 reasons to believe. LOL

"The best defense is a good offense." Wolverine

I think you are awesome, Kap'n.

I also think you nailed my exact sentiments to a tee. I mean, it’s like you crawled inside my head and then wrote your piece. Gah, this place (and you guys) are frickin’ insanely awesome. I think the Dawkins move will resemble what Harrison did for the Pats in a lot of ways. He might be declining in ability (due to age) but his awareness, attitude, leadership and work ethic are invaluable. Shanny brought us to the promised land and then he took us straight into the heart of death valley. It was time. Cutler is not our problem anymore. I still don’t get that guy. He has just heaped and heaped the pressure on himself. In my eyes, he better be Montana, Elway and Marino all rolled up into one to live up to what he apparently thinks he is. He’s got a laser rocket arm, unfortunately he doesn’t have a laser rocket mentality to go along with it. Coming from someone that has to deal with a wide range of people on a daily basis at work, I would rather have a bunch of less talented people (not to sound harsh, but it is what it is) that try hard and have a great attitude and work ethic than have one or two studs that you just can’t do anything with. Sorry if I got to rambling, but this is what I think. 9-7 or 10-6 with a shot at the AFC West title. We are still better overall IMHO than Oakland and KC. SD is uber talented, but they also have Norv. I see it once again being a two team race. I know our guys are salivating at a chance to get some get-back on them Bolts. They ran up the score, and Rivers talked and talked and talked like my little sis at her sweet sixteen party. I guess that’s why they play the game. Bring it the funk on. Rock n’ roll and go Broncs!!!!!!

Take my advice, I'm not using it !!!

Thanks for the post Kaptain!

I dig the whole ‘more cheering and less cursing at the TV’ belief….. along with them all of course….

In addition:

- I believe there is no ‘next Elway’, but there will be many more ‘next time’s for Us
- I believe Bronco fans will be surprised and contented come the end of this season.
- I believe Eddie Royal, Peyton Hillis, Spencer Larsen, or Ryan Clady (among others) will NOT have a ‘sophomore slump’

Again, rockin’ post (and supplements MHR!)

First team to three consecutive SB wins!!!! and then some, right? I think four and we oughtta let someone else have a fair shot : )
