New guy here ready for the season to start

First off, just got a mhr account. Allows followed you guys but finally decided to post here lol. Usually do alot of posting at scout.coms boards. But you guys here are one of the better sites ive seen. So i want to thank you guys for that.

Now on to the broncos, it has been a crazy and long offseason. And now in the midst of mid july, i cant wait for the season to begin.

Now about McDaniels, at first i wasnt fond of his hiring. Wanted a more defensive minded coach, but McDaniels grew on me. Really liked how free agency was going. Brian Dawkins, Andra Davis, Corell Buckhalter, Jabarr Gaffney, Ronnie Fields, Darell Reid, Andre Goodman, Renaldo hiil, ect all filled holes that we needed. One observation i made of this is that McDaniels was doing things the patriot way. Getting older vets who can fill in for a few years and provide leadership, and get young talent to fill in for a few years Then after everything was looking good, the cutler fiasco came. Thought both were to blame for the situation, but really liked the package we got back for him. Orton at first i really didnt know much about him and wasnt to excited about him. But after ive read and seen stuff about him i am exicted about what he can bring to our team.

Now the draft. Alot of people have criticized the broncos about there draft. But i for one, loved it. Moreno was a pick up that we needed. Hes a 3 down back who can do a little bit of everything, and who would take pressure off orton. Ayers is the pass rush guy we needed. I expect him to do well off the edge in pass rush and coverage. The trade for Phonso didnt really bother me at much. we needed another corner to groom and eventually replace Bailey or goodman. Liked the McBath pick up, finally addressing the saftey position. An area were we ignored alot the last few years and paid for it. The TE pick was a bit confusing i thought, but after thinking about it, hes a great blocker, and paired with Graham, they both can really help the run. Which means we might see alot of 3 TE sets where we run the ball or do PA cuz all 3 TE's are capable of catching the ball. The rest of the picks were all needs, and provided depth at positions of need.

Onto the team this year. I think we have a good starting core, if everyone picks up on what there supposed to do. I see the starters playing out like this.

QB: Orton, Simms, Brandstater(practice squad)

RB: Moreno, Hillis, Buckhalter, Jordan or Torain

FB: Larsen, Hillis, Lichenstiger

WR1: Marshall, Gaffney, Lloyd(could see him cut)

WR2: Royal, Jackson

WR3: Stokley, Mckinely

TE: Graham. Scheff, Quinn

LT: Clady

LG: Hamilton

C: Weigmen

RG: Kuper

RT: Harris

( For the d-line im not so sure about starts since i see all these guys subing in and out alot)

LDE: Peterson/ McBean

NT: Fields, Powell, Baker

RDE: Thomas, Baker

OLB: Reid/Crowder/Moss(doubt he makes the roster thoughL

ILB: Davis/Greisen/Larsen

ILB: DJ/Woodyard

OLB: Ayers/Doom

CB1: Bailey/ Williams

CB2: Goodman/Bell

CB3: Smith/ Williams

FS: Dawkins/Mcbath/Barrett

SS: Hill/McBath/Bruton

K: Prater

P: Kern

Not so sure about the defense, see it play it more during training camp. Sorry for the long post, cant wait till Training camp starts!

Good to have you on board,

check in with the La La Land director over in studio B, he will get you ready for some football.

I’m hoping Goodman and Bailey have a kick out year this season, because if they do, then we will know that the defensive line is doing it’s job. Yes sirree bobby, I can’t wait to find out…13-3 Baby!!!

We're like soul brothers or something...welcome.

Great post Skotty!

Always glad to see more member additions. CAn’t have too many analytical minds, so long as they aren’t biased right (LoL) -
That’s one thing I have a hard time believing that it remains true to so many here, is how objective so many of MHR’s posters are/remain/can be. It’s hard to stay objective about a passion.

And LoL Bfree! Studio B indeed!

First team to three consecutive SB wins!!!! and then some, right? I think four and we oughtta let someone else have a fair shot : )
