Knowshon's Status?

Has anyone heard anything about the status of Knowshon's knee and when he if he will play in the preseason? Thanks!

They said he had a mild MCL sprain and would be out 1-2 weeks. Since that happened in week 1 of the preseason, the earliest he would be ready is this week against Chicago, but there is little chance that will happen.

He may get some snaps next week if he is ready. Most likely, he is preparing for the season opener.

Did find this though,

Running back Knowshon Moreno (knee), cornerback Tony Carter (ankle) and running back La- Mont Jordan (leg) did not practice Wednesday. . . . Defensive lineman Marcus Thomas (shoulder) tried practicing wearing a brace on his right shoulder, but he returned to the locker room early during the workout, then went into the team’s weight room. . . . McDaniels said he expected some starters, such as quarterback Kyle Orton, to play in both Sunday night’s game and next Thursday’s despite the short turnaround .

I haven’t heard anything recently. Right after the injury happened I read that the earliest he would be back would be for the Arizona preseason game. I assume that’s still the case. But who knows? I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get a couple of carries against Chicago. One thing is certain, the era of anyone outside of Dove Valley knowing the day-to-day status of players is over.

All I can gather is he definitely won’t dress for the Bear’s game. Nothing I heard makes me believe he’s behind schedule, just that they’re taking it cautiously as seems wise given the long season.

Boy, I hope so.

I would love to see Dawkins and Marshall both kick’n butt and taking names this weekend. Moreno too… though it probably won’t happen… I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
