Nice
Way to go Broncos! That is exactly what needed to happen.
I don’t want breakaway speed. I want break-some-poor-fool-as-I-bowl-you-over power getting 6 yards off a play that should have been stopped for 2 at most.
agreed.
Broncos played this one the best that they could considering. Not talking about it in the MSM, and just give him enough rope to hang himself, so to speak.

Yahoo!!!
But what does that mean and for how long? Would he not play the whole season? Can someone give full background to this process?
This sort of suspension maxes out at 4 games. But I believe it can be shorter…

I heard (rumor alert!)
it’s just for the 2 preseason games left.

nyc
Doesn’t that just apply to regular season games?

From Porkchop (i know, i know)
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported earlier Friday morning that Marshall has been suspended by the team for the rest of the preseason and that he could be reinstated in time for the Sept.13 season opener if he behavior improves.

YES!
Now he can go home and punt footballs in Georgia. How’s that new contract going? Getting a lot of trade interest? Found a new girlfriend? This guy has made his own life a laughing stock. Next week on “As Brandon’s World Turns” domestic violence and pouting help BM turn his whole life into a BM, which then clogs the crapper.

Or slap some woman
Here is your money Mr. Marshall
can't agree
i want wins, and this only hurts our chances at winning football games. its good we are treating him a lesson, but not paying him and just sitting him only hurts his trade value and hurts the offensive production.

Marshall never realized...
that the Broncos held all the cards. No matter what was reported, he never had the upper hand. Now he’s learning the hard way: Bad behavior and low character is no longer rewarded in Denver.
Right thing to do
Can’t say I’m happy, or excited about it, but it had to be done.

Agreed
Now, if he gets his sh*t together and rejoins the team, I’ll welcome him back. And if performs well this year and stays out of trouble, I’d offer him a three-year deal.

exactly
He forced the issue. They can’t reward this at all, if not just to give into him, but more for the precedent it sets. I don’t see how a grown man can’t figure that out. Bad situation all around. Broncos take a hit and BM gets nothing he wanted. Charlie Foxtrot.

marshalls trade value
dropped like crazy after that video. Should have traded him a while ago, now ur paying a guy to sit on ur bench, and u are getting nothing in return. It sort of had to be done. But if we start off 1-3, 2-4 then look for mcd to get a lot of heat. And not from me im a huge mcd fan, not so much on this situation, but gotta support the broncos.

It ain't over yet
Marshall now knows who’s in charge. Maybe he’ll have his Randy Moss-like epiphany here soon.
He now has 2 choices
he can change his attitude and get back on the field and play or he just keep doing the same things he has been doing. I don’t think he thought that the Team would ever suspend him. Of course the NFLPA is going to get involved and well see how it stacks up.
a suspension with visual evidence of the cause would be hard to disprove.
I don’t see the NFLPA doing anything about it. This guy got caught on candid camera and you can’t fake that.

I'm not sure what else the team was supposed to do...
Some seem to be saying that we need him on the field at all costs, but what else could have been done? He is fresh off an off the field issue and just had off-season surgery, so it’s hard to give him a new fat contract. He lost his trade value. He was a detriment to the team chemistry. So what else is there to do? He needed to understand that he needs to be a team player and wasn’t getting it. This doesn’t fall on McD. All of these choices have been made by Marshall. There really doesn’t seem to be any reasonable alternative choice other than suspend him.

I agree ..
He put himself in this situation – and to the rest of the league McD looks like an inept idiot, but basically building a new team McD CAN NOT have this kind of behavior at the start of the season.
He really has taken a massive hit to his trade value, and our ability to trade him – especially in a league where kids are BEGGING to just get a chance, he feels that we should spoon feed him.
I’m with JeffG … Moss needs to take a trip out here and have lunch with Brandon.
ummm...the cost of a roster spot
Soooo…like, how much does it hurt if the broncos bench Brandon?
Each team gets $127 Million, and there are like 53 players…average is $240,000.
Brandon is supposed to make $448,000. And…if he has to be like on the team, he is sorta costing as much as two not very good guys.
Well…would Mr B be willing to punish him by paying some of the not so good guys a little less until he gets the draft picks he wants…and keep him home in georgia totally far away from the team and out of the denver news and not part of what the team thinks about or worries about? Just sayin….
MHR...and proud of it!
Unfortunately
Some fans, seemingly weren’t the only ones with man-crushes on Cutler….
I believe once Cutler was gone, Marshall made the decision he didn’t want to be where he couldn’t rely on his QB making him the overall primary target.
I think a lot of his ‘disgruntled-ness’ comes from Cutler leaving, no matter what he says. He sees that Kyle will make ‘level headed’ decisions, but those decisions mean less forced balls coming his way….. And/or could very well just not have any faith in the new QB(’s).
Way to make as many people as you can, regret being your fan, eh
