Horse Tracks 8/29/09 - Plenty of reaction to BMarsh and his suspension

DB - Friday: McDaniels - Broncos TV
McDaniels addresses the Marshall suspension. Apparently, Brandon's ESPN appearance was merely for the public's sake; McDaniels says Marshall did not apologize to the coach or team in person. Wow, I do not know how McDaniels has the patience to put up with some of these questions; not sure which Denver reporter is behind the needling questions, but I've got a couple of guesses...

Happy Friday all.

Thanks NYC.
The Chris Baker interview should be viewed by marshall. He said that he thanks God every day that he can play in the NFL, and is happy to do something he loves. Perhaps he could do with a savior since he doesn’t want a mentor.

Doh!

Been on the road for two days. I’m in Southern California (L.A.) on vacation and it seems like I lost more than an hour in the time Zone change. LOL

Thanks nyc!

I just read the Jason Cole & Charles Robinson debate on Y. Jason Cole has got to be being paid to be the Devil’s Advocate because no-one could really be that ill-informed. His first comment is "To blame Brandon Marshall for this latest suspension is akin to taking an alcoholic into a liquor store and blaming him for getting loaded. "

by Endzone on Aug 29, 2009 10:03 AM MDT reply actions

Analogy FAIL

That was so lazy and inane. They had a thesis: “Let’s have a debate. Even though it’s hard to see Marshall’s side, let’s make something up!”

And by gum, they get traffic out of it.

I liked the PFW article about the Bangles O-line giving up six sacks in their game yesterday. In week 1, Carson Palmer will be rusty and playing on a bad wheel behind a below average O-line. Something else that benefits Denver is that the Bangles are missing their Top 10 draft pick (Andre Smith) because their cheap skate owner won’t abide by the slotting system. If that is the case, this holdout will last until the next draft when Cincy loses the rights to Andre Smith and he gets picked again in 2010.

Love the Broncos, don't like their Coach.

What is it with Cincy?

They seem to have year after year harmed by the bizarre actions of a small group of players that includes chad what’s-is-name. Then they use their first round pick on a player who has a history of issues and who has behaved in a manner that can be described as ‘weird’. He has a higtory of showing up out of shape and overweight – in the NFL, he won’t dominate the way he did in college, and at this point, it’s unlikely that he’ll dominate at all.

As a Bronco fan, I appreciate the opportunity and hope that Denver takes advantage of it, but I’m bemused at how Cincy has consistently seemed intent on cutting it’s own throat.

BTW

Final, NO 45, Oak, 7. sure, it’s just preseason, but for Oakland, showing a little skill might be a revelatory experience.
