Potential Trade?
I was sitting in class this morning, and my brother texted me from Missouri, saying that a co-worker had told him that ESPN Radio reported this morning that a trade was in the works that would send Brandon Marshall and Brodie Croyle to Arizona, Anquan Bolding to KC, and Matt Leinart to Denver. Anybody else hear this?

Sounds too good to be true
and I couldn’t find anything on the ESPN website about it.
Wouldn’t it be a downgrade at both positions for the Cards?

IF, and it's a big if, this were true...
I see this as a bad deal for Denver. It would mean that the injuries to Orton and Simms are worse than we’re being told. Leinart wouldn’t have time to learn the system and it probably wouldn’t be an upgrade immediately.
However, if the threw a pick in there, say 3rd round, it might be worth listening too.
Leinart?
I honestly don’t know why we’d pick up Leinart. He’s been pretty poor in AZ and Orton will be back in a few weeks. Simms is reputed to be better. I’ve even heard McD say that he’d be Ok starting Brandstater, although that might be hot air. I think we’re Ok.
Now they’ll prove me to be wrong, of course,….

Thanks! Hadn't heard that
There was talk for a long time that he’d be a late bloomer. Perhaps it’s happening – for his sake, I hope so

If we were to get Leinart,
would that mean that Clady would move to the right side of the line, or would Harris be able to do a good job protecting the lefty’s blind side?
Clady would stay on the left.
Our offense is not going to change it’s strong side vs weak side orientation because the QB is left-handed. Likewise, defenses are not going to completely flip their play for one week against a left-handed QB. Whether it’s Simms or Leinart, the best pass-rusher will still be lined up over the left tackle and will still be Clady’s responsibility.
The link to the rumor...
Here’s the rumor.
Marshall to Arizona. Leinart to Denver. Bolden to K.C.
I don’t know why the Chiefs are involved at all since they’re not giving anything up.
If this comes to fruition, I’ll eat my hat (fortunately, my hat is made of formed, dehydrated potatoes).
But who will guard the guards themselves?

more info...
Turns out the Chiefs would send Thigpen to Arizona in the deal. Probably just a rumor…

still more...
Sorry to keep replying to myself, but additional details keep coming in…Probably isn’t Thigpen to Arizona, probably Croyle to Arizona. Interesting. Probably won’t happen.

IF this is real...
I highly doubt we get Leinart. I don’t see what he brings to the team. I loved Leinart at USC and I am a USC boy, but I don’t know if I like that happening. Besides, how would BMarsh react with Fitz being the hands down number 1 and Marshall is always the number 2. I don’t think his big ego would handle that well.
Leinart could do good things here though—and he’s young enough to learn.

not to mention the big problem
AZ hasn’t been willing to renegotiate Boldin’s contract, even though he has acted like a professional and done his job well. (though some may say asking for more money is not professional) Why would they pay Marshall big money, when he hasn’t acted like a professional at all?
Damon Haurd is available and it wouldn't cost Denver Marshal...
He looked pretty good in the SF preseason game.
This trade would be a real crap sandwich
Why would we even consider trading BMarsh for Leinert plus bringing Boldin to the Afc west not likely, why cant we just trade Marshal for Boldin?
