The Crystal Ball - Weeks 1 - 4

A Look At Future "Analysis" from John Clayton

Week 1 Recap

The Bengals really blew it this week losing to the lowly Broncos. I guess the Bengals aren't as revamped as people expected considering they lost to THE WORST TEAM ever assembled in all time. Yeah, the Broncos offense looked good but newsflash, they don't have Jay Cutler. Orton cannot continue to play winning football because he isn't Jay Cutler. Jay Cutler is so amazingly awesome.

What a horribly embarrassing loss for the Bengals. It's unbelievable really. I mean the Broncos, huh, no one saw this coming and I mean NO ONE. McDaniels better enjoy this win because it will be the only out of conference game they win this year. They are still a 3-13 team this year with their other 2 wins coming from splitting with the Raiders and Chiefs. Enjoy this now Broncos fans because your team sucks. Oh and did you see Jay Cutler this week?

Week 2 recap

Unbelievably, the Browns managed to get beaten down by the Denver Broncos this week. Cleveland is in shambles after this defeat. Mangini is already on the hot seat entering week 3 after not getting his team prepared to play against the lowly Broncos. If he can't get his guys to compete with this Broncos team then they are in for a very long year. Orton's stats do look good but stats are misleading because we all know he's no Jay Cutler. I was surprised by the Broncos defense but I think they just looked good against a bad Browns team that just wasn't ready to play this week. I'm completely floored by the Broncos being 2-0 but come on, we all know they haven't played even a remotely decent team yet and they traded away Jay Cutler. Look for the Broncos to go downhill from here. OMG, look a Jay Cutler highlight!

Week 3 recap

Ok, Ok, I know. The Broncos are undefeated after beating up on the hapless Raiders. Don't be fooled by this however. The Raiders are the worst franchise in the NFL and the Broncos have lucked into wins against the Browns and the Bengals, not exactly quality NFL Teams. They simply have not played anybody. This is not a sleeper team. The dream has ended for McDaniels as the gimme part of the schedule is over. I mean this is the guy who traded Jay Cutler! Expect to see the true Broncos from here on out. I honestly don't expect them to win another game. They don't have the personel for the 3-4 - what? A 5-2? Well...Jay Cutler is really, really good. And they traded him! They still have a huge question mark at QB. Sure Orton's numbers look good after lucking out against 3 bad teams but the true Orton will show now. He's no Jay Cutler.

The Broncos have been helped by an easy schedule not to mention the fact that each team played their worst game ever against the Broncos. Trust me, this is the worst team to start 3-0 ever. They suck. They will be missing Cutler from here on out. Did you see him this week? Sure he lost but damn that guy is hot...I mean is playing hot. He looks real good in tight pants, I mean tight formations, yeah. Cutler is my dream man...er I mean my dream QB. Oh Jay, I don't know what I will do on your bye week. Just stare at your poster above my bed all night I guess, well that happens every week but...

Week 4 recap

Huh. I'm stumped. I cannot believe what I saw on Sunday. The Broncos beat the Cowboys! What! OK, I didn't really see it, just the score since I couldn't keep my eyes off of Jay Cutler but here's my take on the game nonetheless. The Cowboys have really fallen hard as a franchise. They just became a huge joke by losing to the Broncos. The Broncos! I don't know how else to explain it. This was a huge upset. Not because of the Broncos winning their 4th consecutive game, but because of how bad the Cowboys choked. They definitly beat themselves. Yeah, I know I didn't watch it but they had to of. How else could they lose to the Jay Cutler-less Broncos?

Sure the Broncos have already won more games than I thought they would the entire season but trust me when I tell you they suck. I can't believe teams keep laying eggs when they play the Broncos. They have been soooo lucky. Sure they're 4-0 but they haven't won a single game. No, the Bengals, Browns, Raiders, and Cowboys have all beaten themselves. The Broncos are bad that's for sure. I'm certain of it. How am I so certain you ask? They traded away Jay Cutler, remember? Jay_Franchise_Pro Bowl_Super Stud_Cannon Arm_Cutler for christ-sakes! They suck. I don't care about their record, or my predictions. They suck. Trust me. No more wins for them, perhaps ever. Can we talk some more about Cutler? Please?

I was actually thinking of posting something similar last night!

"A player who conjugates a verb in the first person singular cannot be part of the squad, he has to conjugate the verb in the first person plural. We. We want to conquer. We are going to conquer. Using the word 'I' when you're in a group makes things complicated." ~ Wanderley Luxemburgo, 1999

Now this is funny

great pictures, The sorry thing is that none of these MSM saying the Broncos are doomed will ever man up and admit the were wrong when the Broncos surprise them this year. you should email this to John Clayton.

Thanks gnarlybronco

Yeah, it’s annoying how they just move on like nothing was ever said when they happen to be blatantly wrong on something.

Seems pretty accurate to me...lol.

What I truly can’t believe is that Adam Schefter and Chris Berman picked the Chargers to be in the Super Bowl!!! Wow. For me, that’s hard to believe…but what doesn’t surprise me is that even after a terrible year last year, a few experts still think the Chargers are legitimate Super Bowl candidates. Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!

Anyway…GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When will they ever learn

to stop picking the Chargers to go to the SB? That hasn’t been working out too great for them lately.

Love the pics...ditto

Simple hilarious! AND NOT OUT OF REASON.
Adam Schefter and Chris Berman HAVE NO FOOTBAL KNOWLEDGE so who cares.
Plus they have to read what is written for them.

dude, I loved it man.

In my wildest dreams we start out 4-0…I’m hoping for a 2-2 or better start, that could really give this team some confidence they can win under McD. I think we get some upsets during the “brutal” part of our schedule and I think we match up very nicely against Pittsburgh…

Great post to give the mind some time off from all the other stuff going on. Very funny and I loved it.

The Chargers have been picked to go to the SB

the past few years. This just proves the MSM have no idea what they are talking about. The Chargers are not and Elite team. They are and overhyped average team. The Patriots, Steelers and Titans are all easily better then the Chargers. There a few other teams that you could argue that are better. One question for the MSM. Do the Titans look like a easier team to play then the colts after the first game or the season. I dont think so. The chargers have their hands full with Miami and TEN

They have just as tough a schedule as us. Plus they still have Norv Turner…it just rolls downhill from there.

The hiring of Turner

illustrates the difference between San Diego and Denver at the top. San Diego, with lots of player talent in the bank, went for the safe coach. Since there’s only one winner and thirty-one losers each season, playing it safe isn’t a virtue if you want to be that one team. Bowlen rolled the dice in choosing a coach who’s more likely to be at one of the extremes, either a failure or a coaching genius who takes us to the very top. Win or lose, I’m happy to be along for the ride.

Hilarious.

I lol’d several times. I can see it now the union of John Clayton and Jay Cutler. John Cutler, your new super quarter back. With a head that big, he can’t help but see the whole field. If his neck would just support it.

I have no idea what I’m saying anymore. I’m going to bed. LOL

Thanks for the laughs!

Did you know?

John Clayton has a ponytail. Heard that on the Dan Patrick show this week. Apparently that is why he is never in a position where they can get a side shot of him. A ponytail explains a lot.
