That “he’s our guy for the year” crap is what killed the Bears with Grossman. I thought Hoodie guys were smart enough to do what needs to be done – and propping up a veteran’s “confidence” shouldn’t be a concern – if he’s too fragile and needs constant pep talks, let him go – see Cutler, Jay.

He has to get rid of that ball there.
That having been said, the Hamilton and Weigman penalties killed that drive and helped take us out of FG position.
A FG there ices the game.
I can't decide if he was dogging it,
or just following his dropped ball pattern from the last two years

The safety was there and made the wrong choice.
But it is luck, there were 2 straight balls from Orton that were nearly picked, and instead, Leon Hall did not jump high enough and the ball went up off his hand instead of down, and Stoke took off.
The safety made a mistake, but don’t deny that it was luck.
Palmer not getting picked down near his own endzone was luck, too.
So I guess it evens out.

A succesful season always needs a little luck along the way
And the Broncos may have used up their entire season allotment, but it made for a great moment at the end of a fairly uneventful (boring almost) game…..
Defense looked good until the last drive (pressure on QB almost always equals wins!)…Orton is a work in progress at best, but a win is a win….
Hugo Norton
Kyle Orton 17/28, 243 yds, 1 TD, 60.7% comp, 100.7 QB rating
Despite 7 or 8 drops and 3 sacks
Never argue with a fool, lest you take on his appearance. - my daddy
Great WIN...
Few points:
1) Tony Dungy once said there’s no such thing as a lucky win in the NFL, you win by playing the game 60 minutes and giving the guys around you an opportunity to win it.
2) Denver D played an INCREDIBLE game against an extremely potent offense, and a phenomenal QB.
3) Kyle Orton played a TREMENDOUS game. Not perfect, but he was under pressure ALL DAY (Cin’s D looked strong – much stronger than MSM gives credit for). The play where Orton scrambled out of the pocket and found D. Graham is why he is a winner.
4) The O-Line that everyone thought was the most solid part of the team looked like a group of rookies, especially when it counted the most in the 4Q.
5) I want Knowshon to be great, but this was his ‘Welcome to the NFL’ game – he was irrelevant today.
Cincy had the 12th ranked D last season...
…and picked up a couple of guys on D in the draft to improve. They might be tough this year.
reminded me of another denver win
Was it 96 or 97? Denver at Minnesota and the Vikes tip a Elway pass up in the end zone. McCaffrey runs under it to score! Awsome win!
