Random Thoughts

Better to be lucky than good. We in First Place

Good
Turnovers baby Turnovers
Buckhalter looked good. Did not run him enough
Daniel Graham
Prater
Not too many penalties
Phonzy

Bad
Orton was way off on his passes and almost killed a couple of our receivers (Royal) I will give him some time
No-show was trying to hard
D j Williams played the poorest of the linebackers from what I saw. Always late to the tackle
Jedi play calling seemed a little weak. Not sure they had a vision of what they wanted to do
Not sure they should have let Marshall or Holliday Play in this game

I couldn't believe it

My girlfriend said “don’t worry baby, they’ll get a hail mary and you’ll be back in it” I told her to shut up, and that she didn’t know what she was saying. I said we were fucked and that I was gonna be pissed the rest of the week…….
THEN THAT PLAY HAPPENED! I’m not sure I’ve ever had such a swing of emotion in my life. These plays always happen AGAINST Denver, never FOR Denver. I can’t believe it. I’m so happy!!!

This Stokley fellow

He can play a little. I also appreciated him running along the goal line like we’ve all done on occasion when playing Madden. Though usually it’s done to taunt the guy you just schooled rather than running off time.

On a Related Note

Look at how Seattle is playing right now…28-0…that preseason first half seems a bit more impressive all of a sudden.

I've nicknamed

Gus Johnson “Orgazmo”. He goes over the top even when it’s a fairly routine play. He’s like that in college hoops games, too.

yeah I don't mind, it's just funny

He’s like Hot Lips Houlihan in the movie of MASH. “OH MY GOD a penalty! a penalty!”

But he’s into the game and on top of things which I appreciate.

LOL Robbo.

Hey, Is there anywhere we can discuss the ZChicago game? I know it has nothing to do with Denver, but I think thre’s enough interest to open a thread, right?

Eagles fan watching Broncos season with much interest.

I see Buck averaged over 5 yards and Dawk had 7 tackles and 4 assists? I think I have that right… anyway great win! Are you all watching the Packers Bears hoping big baby Jay get his?

I know I am. What a classless weinie he is.

Good luck!

by Phreak on Sep 13, 2009 7:27 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Thanks

I really liked Buck and Dawkins when they were on the Eagles so was stoked to pick them up this year. Buck should be a good complement to Knowshon once the latter is more integrated.

+1

Thanks for the good wishes Phreak.

Like underdog said, I was always fans of Dawk and Buck [more so Westbrook obviously :P] when they were on the Eagles and was very excited when I heard we picked them up.

Good luck to Philly and hope for a speedy recover for Donovan.

by Matt In Canada on Sep 13, 2009 8:18 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

Hey

Does anybody know how Knowshon is, because i know he got injured during the game because of a big hit.

by Whosbob89 on Sep 13, 2009 7:32 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

I know it's not important and it's petty, but...

I do love seeing Jay throw picks to D-Lineman in the red zone.

by Whosbob89 on Sep 13, 2009 7:40 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yes he did!

Cutler is starting to melt down . . . glad we got rid of that baby! Wonder who he is going to scream at on the sidelines? Maybe they should bring out a mirror for him!

Now I am changing my prediction to 5. He will set a new NFL record for picks on opening week. :)

Chicago, at best, is a 3rd place team in their division.

Bet they are happy they made the trade . . . for a third place finish (Green Bay AND Minnesota are both much better than Chicago). LOL . . . suckas!

Must be great to be a Bronco's fan right now

i have to say today everything is going right for the Broncos

by lololol on Sep 13, 2009 7:47 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

All I have to say is hahahahahahahahaha

…really feel bad for Cutler, but its so ironic that everytime he touches the ball I get the feeling he is bound to throw an INT, good thing I am not a Bears fan. hahahahahaha

I don't think I was really wishing ill on Cutler

but I am kinda enjoying his poor performance….

by MissR on Sep 13, 2009 7:49 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Don't get me wrong

I still feel bad but kind of in a funny way :)

by isiddiqi on Sep 13, 2009 7:50 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

I don't feel an ounce of guilt for how I feel . . .

I am a true believer in Karma . . . and Cutler is going to get his. Mark my words – Jay Cutler will have his worst NFL season this year. I already see Lovie Smith taking the ball out of his hands and going to a run-oriented offense. His passing numbers will NEVER be the same again.

(Also, the Packers look really good. They’re my pick to win the NFC. Balanced team.)

But no hard feelings Jay, but don’t mind feeling a little vindicated seeing him throw more stupid interceptions.

Hey

Don’t we play the Browns next week?

by Whosbob89 on Sep 13, 2009 7:53 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Watched the game on TV until the 4th started

then left to go to baseball game. Followed on my phone via ESPN.com and like a lot of you it got stuck after the Bengals scored go ahead TD. Thought it was over. Was dejected. Then just before I met my friend I saw the score was suddenly 12-7 and practically tripped on the sidewalk. “OH MY GOD” I said, like Gus Johnson, to strangers who thought I was a crazy person.

So I heard about it long before I actually saw it. Such a miracle play, but we’ll take it.

I’d already decided, that win or lose, I was stoked (not stokely) about how the D played today. Given they were on the field way too much, they didn’t look tired until that last big drive. Played very well. Kudos to Mike Nolan and the defensive guys. Alphonso Smith really impresses me. The secondary is going to be so muchbetter this year.

Dukes is amazing

He credits the bengals defense and calls our offense inept yet says the bengals offense is bad but does not credit our D
