Cutler is getting a rude awakening

Eages fan here- Im watching the Bear Packers game right now and I have got to say, you guys came out on top of that QB deal.... 3 picks in the 1st half and he is getting blasted tonight. The game is nationaly televised, so I'm sure most of you are watching, but it had to be said. He is shook! Dude is out of his element, he looks like a deer in the headlights right now. For those who miss haveing him behind center you should feel a lot better after tonight....

Im watching Cutler literally come to realize in middle of a game "oh shit... I suck"

By the way how is Dawk doing, our new FS (rookie Macho Harris) had a great day today but I still miss Weapon X.

Hope Buchalter works out too, he is a tough dude loved by Philly who never got enough credit from the media

good luck this season... except for DEC 27th (hope you misserably fail dec 27th) but other then that....

Yep

I’m having flashbacks from late last year.

I love watching Cutler pout on the sidelines right now.

He’ll do better later in the season (as will Orton), but the pouting will continue when things go bad. Glad that is gone anyway!

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for BDawk. He did great today and is now my favorite player (or close to it anyway).

Good luck until later!

Dawk looked good....

Nothing too special today but he played solid D and had some good tackles and was out there literally “flying” around! Macho Harris should be a beast!

He DID lead the team in tackles

Cutler is now realizing

how good of a line that was protecting him. I know Cutler will have his good games, however if he plays teams that have this kind of defense, he better think of something.

It's easy to find things about Cutler to not like

Of course I am going to find evidence that convinces me he isn’t the next great QB! His flaws last year were because he is young and eventually he will be great. Watching tonight I am thinking he will not be a big time QB and were lucky to get him out now before we waited years and years for him to become big time.

I think this because 1) he seems to small for big moments. This is a huge stage for him and their are a lot of eyes on him and expectations defining his play. So he gets pressured by a good GB defense and throws three picks and is lucky it is not five. This reminds me a lot of the Buffalo game where when things got high pressure and he was not his best. Also, 2) he can’t keep his cool and let’s things bother him. Some Packer got in his face and Cutler reacted and started pushing him or something. You can’t let the opposing team’s defense get in your head.

Cutler doesn’t seem to want to mature and I am not sure he ever will. People will say he is still young, and some might point to Elway as evidence of a learning curve. But at this point in his career Elway was coming into his own and on the verge of leading us to Super Bowl XXI. Sure, Culter could have a great half and then rip things this season and I’ll be wrong, but from what I’ve seen early in his fourth season I don’t see him ever reaching his potential

And Dawk did look good! Glad we have him. I think there should be an exception where if Philly makes it to the super bowl we should be able to give ‘em back to Philly so he can get what he deserves. Of course unless they are playing the Broncs, but I don’t see that happening ;-)

Cutler

is having a good 2nd half so far though. He will be a HOF qb if he quits being hard headed and forcing the ball into coverage because he can make all the throws like Elway did.

The 3rd pick was just STUPID

Nobody near the ball.

Make that four picks.

I have to admit that I am taking great pleasure in this. I’m a small petty man. :)

It a universal train of thaught- Cutler acted like a 2 year old, he needed someone to smack him back to reality, I like when guys with Egos like Cutler get a wake up call

I think we're gonna love him......

I can kind of feel you meangreen……when we let atwater get away I thought I might not recover…..He was my favorite defensive player in Bronco’s history and it was just wrong to watch him in another uni

Bdawk was awesome

I never tire of seeing his flying tackles and he treated us to TWO today… we have been starved of good safety play for years, and even John Lynch was misused for 90% of his time in Denver.

I think it is awesome that he is going to go into the hall of fame with two teams rooting their hearts out for him…

Precision in thought, concision in style, decision in life.

Hi MeanGreen5 !

Dawk was an eye opener, I never really realized he NEVER takes a play off. JC may someday be the player that some claimed him to already be, but he may have done better to stay teh course in Denver.. Just have to wait and see, I guess. Glad you came by to chat, and your team looked VERY good today… actually downright scary!.

MeanGreen

I will be watching my first Broncos game on Dec 27th so I can’t wait to get there. Mind you it is costing the best part of thousand bucks to fly over to watch it.

There are a lot of Eagles fans here in the UK, so good luck to you guys for the season, with the obvious exception of Dec 27th of course.

I don't know what's wrong with people

After all, the QB makes the receivers. The O line doesn’t matter if the QB is mobile and young QBs always outgrow their bad habits. These are the things that we all know from being told them hundreds of times, and I’m not going to give them up the the face of mere facts and reality. So there.

Cutler will win the Bears some games with his natural talents, no doubt. He showed that his level of maturity hasn’t changed and that the Bears needed to do more with their receivers and with the O line. It was a tough way to find out. The ‘franchise’ tag doesn’t come about so easily. You have to learn how to win, not how to throw a pick near the end of a game that takes you out of the chance of winning.
