Good question

It’s good to see him with limited participation. Might mean he’s coming back soon.

Yeah when did he hurt his ankle?

I'm thinking it was very minor and unnoticable during the game

The next day it was probably a bit sore so it gets reported. No messing around with that injury report, as Mangini recently found out.

People can use statistics to prove anything, 87% of all people know that.

Looks like the Browns will be pretty thin at RB.

Also, it’s really good to see Knowshon and Orton practicing 100% again. I hope they really step it up this week.

And I fourth the Champ question— I don’t remember him hurting it in the game.

I hope we can run

on them like the Vikings did. I would be really happy if we can be A LOT better on 3rd down this Sunday. I just watch the replay of the game and put me in on the clueless about Champ group.

They were actually doing decent against the run

but the thrid quarter became run dominance by AP. If we can force mistakes by Quinn and Co. early, we may get the same opportunity, but it reamins to be seen just how we go about attacking the Browns. I am looking forward to HTs writeup ont he subject, but my early guess is that we pressure Eric Wrights side of the defense with screens to get our ground game yardage, while pressing with KnowMo and Buck until things start coming easy.

Not to be overlooked is that our Oline is probably upset with themselves after the last game. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them open up a can of whupazz on the browns, but it should be noted that interior running should still be difficult. The Browns have some talent there…

Now that I have game rewind

I might check their game out to see how they play. The one thing for the Broncos and McDaniels is that we played the Browns when Quinn was the QB so we do have some tape to look at. I am sure we will be able to force mistakes like we did against the Bengals, I just hope our offense is a little more in sync because our 3rd down play was bad.

Even though Davis is a rookie

it is significant that he is out. He was their change of pace runner, but he also spelled Jamaal and kept him fresh enough to average over 5 yds per carry. Expect the Browns to either “pass to surprise” (very surprising indeed) or to increase Jamaal’s workload, which is a two edged sword. It may not benefit them long term, but he could still have a solid game aginst us. He is a bit of an anomaly for a 30 year old back, and I hate to keep harping on his age, but history is strong on this subject: he should lose effectiveness quickly.

Could Champ's injury have been a practice injury?

According to the CSG,

Bailey’s injury not serious. [link]

Bailey played the entire game Sunday and was in the locker room during today’s access period, which are indications the injury isn’t too serious.

Still no indication when he hurt it but my guess is it was practice, perhaps yesterday?

I don't think it's a big deal

both Dawkins and Bailey are old and they are probably just being extra careful w/ them
