And Brandon Marshall said "Us" and noth "The Broncos"
What I noticed is he is back to saying “Coach has helped US try and succeed” and not “Yes, Coach McDaniels has helped put the BRONCOS in situations to succeed” like he did back in the NFL Network interview…he sees himself as a Bronco again

Is it just me...
.. or does he sound a little depressed?

I don't think so.

He's probably happy to have all the BS behind him
Tired but motivated.
Conversation nonstarters: hoping McDaniels fails, comparing Bears to Broncos, Cutler to Orton, apples to oranges, and casual drinkers to Raiders fans.

He just sounds tired
It was fun to hear him sounding human again. This is nice.
I’m more puzzled by a guy who nicknames himself “floorwax” ;-) but I’m not familiar with them so I’m sure it has a good story.

nice conversation
A truth can only be expressed and enveloped in words if it is one-sided. Everything that is thought and expressed in words is one-sided, only half the truth; it all lacks totality, completeness, unity.

Was also great to hear him credit
Coach McDaniels for making the guys work on every single scenario, putting them in situations to be successful. I really liked hearing him say that after the past stuff.

great find, guru!
that’s the bMarsh we all know and love. i still thought he could’ve done better in the interview yesterday, but okay, i admit, i almost forgot that i really like this guy. and bonus: without being prodded, he voluntarily gave kudos to mcD. that’s a great, great sign.

Can someone give a summary
of what was said?
by Bustafluff on Sep 18, 2009 1:45 PM MDT reply actions 0 recs
hard to sum up, bustafluff...
it was more of a light interview—almost like a casual, jokey conversation. but they talked about helping intercity kids, a little about the game, how marshall feels like certain media people try to trap him (he did specifically mention that he likes vic lombardi and reggie rivers, notably leaving out gary miller :-) ), and oh yeah, there’s apparently a commercial marshall did with the two hosts about his nuts. …no idea there.

sounded like he's learned to value privacy
and that was what yesterday’s presser was all about. After getting so much negative attention, relentless exposure in uncomfortable topics about personal relationship issues, what he said about Twitter and the press and the privacy of the locker room rang very genuine to me. This is the first time I’ve heard something out of him that I feel TRULY resembles maturity, humility, and a desire to overcome and be the man we all know he can be. When he said “I’m on the right road now but I’m not there yet” (paraphrasing), I made peace with him in my heart. He has my full support.

One comment that struck me,
I’m not 100% on the the right path but I’m getting there. That is the best i’ve heard out of BMarsh in a long time. Great to hear and thanks for bringing it to us.

This interview...
Has added a significant level of comfort to my state of anxiety over the issues of the past few weeks/months…I now believe that BM may be well on his way to getting it together for this year and hopefully beyond!

I'm not sold
Lewis and Floorwax are a couple of knuckleheaded morning show hosts, a la Mark and Brian, Kevin and Bean, etc. A very minor wanna be comedt act. They have as much relevance to reality as John Clayton. I didn’t hear the interview, but Brandon still has a long way to go for me to change my tune. I still want him off the team. However, I will cheer for him as long as he’s a Bronco.

KK...I have felt the same way for the entire off-season...
And you’re right, it wasn’t really a sports interview, but they gave BM alot of time to just chat and he just (IMO) seemed to be pretty positive…Talked positive of the Team, the effects of the mentorship (my words not his) he is getting, and very complimentry of McD and the coaching that the TEam is getting…
Check out the recording when you have a chance

Ok
After listening to it, I can agree with your statement. It appears that he has found the path. Now let’s see where it takes him.

that was not the petulant child we feared would take on the role of Brandon Marshall for 2009!
great interview 15.

I know the interview was more layed back
however it was a good one and it’s nice to see him being interviewed that wasn’t so serious. Good to see he understands the whole thing about the media trying to get a soundbite out of him. I really liked it when the radio guys mentioned that it seems like the media isn’t football fans anymore. Thanks for the link.
