Divisional Opponents from the Broncos Perspective: Chiefs/Eagles

Maybe no one is around this early but I like to discuss these division games with the MHR regulars.  So, if you feel so inclined, POST AWAY!!!! I'm watching the Eagles and Chiefs game, but if you are watching another one, post as well. We don't need to be as focused in this thread as we are in the Broncos game open thread.  Thanks!

My wife hopes

the D goes after Vick with a vengeance. I’ve never seen her so bloodthirsty. She hates that guy.
She wants a HARD hit, and then for the defender to say “woof” after every hit.

Brady just got a roughing the passer call

that was ridiculous. THe defender was laid out flat, and Brady walked away. Brady WAY overthrew Moss, though. The pundits have been saying that Brady isn’t the same…..we’ll see

Ok, so....

KC is bad. I mean, we knew they were bad, but I don’t think it’s possible to be as bad as they are today. I know Bowe is out, but that’s no excuse—play like a champion, regardless of where you are on the depth chart.

I keep trying to find

something we should be scared of. But Cassel? No….. LJ? He has lit us up in the past few years, but that isn’t gonna happen this season. LJ is going to get shut dowm by our D. I have no fear, except maybe bowe, but he’s out right now.

The Chiefs are sucking bad.

Whether it’s the coaching or the players they are very very very very BAD! I would not want to be a Chiefs fan at this moment. Terrible!!!

At least they forced a 3 and out on the opening Eagles posession.....

That’s SOMETHING…but then they gave up 2 TDs on the next 2 drives.

That hurts SF. But they have Coffee.

He looked OK in preseason.

SF is a media treasure chest of hope. It’s the legendary Singletary coaching the once-proud SB dynasty. The MSM REALLY wants SF to look good. THey need the cinderella story, but losing Gore hurts.

Todd Haley is a terrible coach...

so far. It’s not fair to judge him entirely on two games, but so far, he is not coaching good football.

That's the problem with these knee-jerk hires.

What did Haley do before ONE good season with the Cards? How much of the Cards’ success was player talent, and how much was Offensive Coordinator? At least McD has had success at every level, with every team, and he had consistent, year-after-year success with his responsibilities at the Pats, even after losing Brady.

I think I'm seeing a pattern with KC's defense...

If your team has good passing weapons (or even decent ones), the their defense will not blitz. Vrabel’s dropped into coverage more than anything so far.

Oh yeah, and that discipline that Haley’s pushing so hard seems to be a moot point, the Chiefs are playing bad football all around. Their penalties are killing them.

brandy still isn’t stepping into his throws. The knee still has lots of adhesions that will have to break down – which is uncomfortable, and the psychology of being willing to expose the knee again is difficult. This may take a while

KC is awful. You can’t judge too much by division games, but if OAK had trouble handling them, even though they’re at home this week we should be very difficult to stop.

Quick poll:

How soon until Mangini is fired in Cleveland. He’s already gotten 2 greivances filed against him so far, with 3 more coming this next week (from Adam Schefter via Twitter) and his team has been outscored (at this point) 95 – 29 (including the current game in Baltimore). Oh yeah, and he already benched Brady Quinn.

How long until he’s sent packing?
