One thing I'm excited about.
Our offense AND defense have gotten stronger as the game has gone on in our first two games. I’m looking forward to seeing if we continue the trend.

The fan over at Silver and Black commented that ’It’s not Al Davis’ fault’. That’s odd – didn’t Al demand that they draft this kid with serious maturity and inconsistency issues? When he was under pressure in college, he did the same thing he’s doing today.

Why no bootleg?
I wonder if McD has or doesn’t have that boot that we used to run on goal to go? There’d be one receiver on the left, and it would look like a run. The QB would play fake and boot right while the whole line would block to the left as if it were a run to the left, and the back would run left. The TE (or FB) would pretend to block for a moment, then start running right, just inside the goal line, parallel to it. Typically it would be man coverage, and it he would have to guess (usually wrong) whether it was a keeper or flip and catch to the receiver. Elway ran this a bazilion times, and so did his successors. It’s usually a pretty safe play because the QB is outside the tackle box and can throw it away if he doesn’t get man coverage.
Maybe it has been so well used that defenses sniff it out more than they used to?
