Gotta respect Schefter
Adam Schefter gave a complimentary response to the Broncos 3-0 start in his evil 4-letter mailbag column this morning:
Everyone expects Denver to drop off the map, but then, everyone thought Denver would be terrible this season, and I don't see it that way at all. Football is about confidence and momentum, and Denver has a healthy dose of both right now. If the Broncos went 7-6 in their final 13, they'd finish with 10 wins -- and be in.
Why nobody else in the same building can apply a similar objective opinion as above is beyond me.

Schefter is an intelligent guy.
I think he’s seeing something in McD’s building and game planning that shows we’re on the right track. With a good defense and running game the Broncos can scare any team in the league. We’re all tired of being dismissed by so-called experts; the way to make them regret their erroneous assumptions is to keep winning by getting better every week.

Well...
We’re at least going to split the Chargers, Pats and Steelers arn’t looking too hot right now, neither are the Cowpies. I think the game we (maybe) should worry about would be the Ravens, Colts, Giants and possibly Eagles.

I'll worry about the Ravens, Colts and Eagles
when they play strong teams.
Baltimore’s wins have come against teams with a combined record of 2-7,
Indianapolis’ wins are against teams with that same record (2-7),
Philadelphia’s two wins have come against teams with a combined record of 0-6.
The Giants’ and the Broncos’ have each faced 3 teams with a combined record of 3-6.
Something to think about.

No no
That kind of logic only applies to Denver. Clearly Baltimore, Indy, and Philly will all make the Superbowl this year. ;)

KCx2, @DC, and Oakland, San Diego, Dallas, New England for 10-6

How about SD x 2 ?
If those were the only two, we would take a bashing in the media, but would be pretty much guarenteed the playoff spot.
We are 16-0 bound... until we're not.

Like everybody else was on September 9th.
And we’ve outlasted most of ’em.
I don’t think we’re going undefeated, but we ARE going to be a roadblock for some of the other 3-0 teams before the end of the season.

Rec'd that, mdierk
The team will take one game at a time and so should we. I’ve not doubt, though, that they can be competitive against anyone, every week, and that’s what I wanted to see this year.

I agree to an extent. We do need to take 1 game at a time but we also don’t wan’t to get tunnel vision. Prepare for what is right in front of you, but also keep your eyes on the prize.

One team at a time, that's all I ask of this team.
I’m not swimming around in a fishbowl of wishy-wishy. I want this team to stay focused on the task at hand…that’s putting their foot on Dallas’ throat and not letting up until the clock say :00 left to play. One game at a time and it’s not impossible as some think. Some pundits have us winning 3 or 4 games total, this team know that and they are going to do everything in their power to make them look stupid.
I Love to watch them
Pounding the ball like when TD could take it to the house anytime he touched the ball. That’s the way I feel about our running backs and O-line now too.I like to watch a dominating defense, tackling well, hitting hard, creating turnovers. We have a good kicker with great range, and kicks alot of touchbacks(even Elam,as good as he was didn’t get many touchbacks),a decent punter and ST that holds their lanes and can make a tackle. If we were told at the beginning of camp, this is what our team would be everyone would have been happy, real happy
.
Well,we have it and a QB who controls the game, clock, formations, can read defenses and has the utmost repect of the guys he plays for and with on top of all this.A coach and co-ordinators who can make a good game plan and adjust to whatever changes the other team makes. No matter what happens fellow Bronco fans we should enjoy what is unfolding before us.Like a Xmas present we really hoped for but didn’t think there was any way we’d get it.
Here’s to the season!!!
