So I live in Dallas currently, and am anxiously awaiting this game! A local movie theatre shows the cowboys games, so I'm going in my 'Easy' Eddie 87 jersey to get booed at while we knock the cowgirls around! But, seeing as I have the inside scoop from behind enemy lines, I thought I'd share a quick thought.
They are not scared. In fact, more than that. They are not READY. The local media personalities(take from that what you will) are laughing at our 3-0 record, and claiming they don't need Marion or Felix to stomp all over us. To them, we're still the 2008 Broncos short one diva QB. When one announcer(a guy named Dodge on "Galloway and Company") attempted to defend the Broncos and highlight some of their strengths, they blew off every one and even mocked his attempt at making the Broncos look decent. So that tells me the media and fans around here are certainly not ready for what's coming their way.
But that's not all! Last night, I'm not sure if it was Roy Williams or Patrick Crayton(I came in late on the segment but caught it was a WR they were talking to) himself made light of us, saying (I'm paraphrasing in my own words here...)we were only 3-0 because of the bad teams we beat and not get to nervous. Wow. I hope ALL the players feel that way.
In all, no one seems to be nervous, scared, or prepared. These are the DALLAS COWBOYS! America's Team and Heir Apparent to the Super Bowl Throne(along with San Diego, that is....). Boy I hope we give them a rude awakening, and I can't wait to hear the groans in that theater on Sunday!
