An ST&NO Contest -- The Final 53 -- Who Can Name The Most?
So, this is my 53 man roster, if I am picking players based upon what i have seen so far in the preseason. Jarvis Moss made my team last night, and I feel he has looked salvageable throughout the preseason. Brandon Lloyd beat out Chad Jackson last night too, but I was generally leaning that way before.
So i decided to hold a fun Friday ST&NO-sponsored contest with this. Who are your final 53? Create a separate FanPost, and list them, and the person who gets the most right wins a chance to rant about whatever they want, in an upcoming edition of ST&NO (as long as it meets the MHR rules of conduct.) I won't even send the fairies to your house while you're sleeping.
Don't include the practice squad, and just name 53 players. Don't worry about formatting it any special way, I am an Excel guy professionally, so I used it. The person who gets the most correct gets bragging rights, and a little bit of time on my soapbox. Ready.... BEGIN!!!
This is a Fan-Created Comment on MileHighReport.com. The opinion here is not necessarily shared by the editorial staff of MHR

They probably aren't separate bodies, so no need really
You can indicate who you think will have the jobs, but the real goal is the 53 names on the roster

Well, realistically, there aren't all that many different combinations for the 53 man roster.
There are a few bubble spot and many locks. So, if there are maybe 10 posters, someone will likely have the same final fifty three. Having the KR and PR might help break the tie.

I won’t participate but I find it interesting you only have 4 corners… I think they would go with 5
A truth can only be expressed and enveloped in words if it is one-sided. Everything that is thought and expressed in words is one-sided, only half the truth; it all lacks totality, completeness, unity.

I think McBath can be a swing player between CB and S
and also that 1-2 CBs are on the practice squad. The 9 secondary players I have are the clear 9 best secondary players on the team to me.

you calling him a swinger?
lol jk. I agree with you though. McBath is very versatile and McD has stated many times that he is looking for versatility on this team.

Bell over Crowder.

a few things
i think we will have 5 corners.
i think we wont have 6 olb’s. and only 4 d ends. I think crowder or moss will get cut. and i think Mathias Askew will make the squad as the fifth d end.
i also think Lee Robinson has a shot at making this team.
Barrett will only be on the field for special teams, he is a good special teamer, he wont play safety pretty much at all.

Very few arguments here.
LaMont Jordan over Walker.
Bell over the invisible Crowder.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if both are cut and we pick up a roster casuality from other squad. Neither look NFL capable to me.
I hope Tony Carter makes the practice squad, he looked like a guy with NFL potential. Lee Robinson should make it thru waivers onto the PS so he is a cut.

Jordon over Walker
That should not happen. Jorden goes down right when he hits the line. He better get cut. Walkers looks way better then jordan

Agree with your list, Ted, except...
….too many OLB’s and not enough RB’s. Cut Crowder and keep Jordan. We can’t go with just 4 RB’s.
A man does what he has to do, and sometimes it’s not what I believe he should do. There’s no reason to use up energy hating him for it. Shoot him if you have to, but don’t hate him.

Linemen
I think they will keep 8 and try to Olsen on the practice squad. I also agree that they will try to keep 5 RBs and 5 CBs, so that means one of the LBs would also have to go …Moss or Crowder.

Crowder. He is invisible and has no upside.

Two Cents.
I don’t know if I agree with your 53, but I certainly like it. It’s rare for me to see the team’s depth chart like this and like it as much as I do. I feel comfortable with this bunch, both now and in the future.

I wouldn't change a thing with the above 53.
They had Moss and Crowder on the field at the same time, Moss flashed and Crowder was invisible, so I could see the case for someone other than Crowder.
I too am a Lloyd man.Brandon Lloyd looked good when I saw him at Dove Valley and snagged a lot of tough catches for big yds. in preseason. Chad Jackson’s has been used a lot but looked ordinary. His big block was on a defenseless man, so I discount that. I suppose Lloyd can boost Orton’s comfort level.
Darius Walker s/b the short yardage back.
I am happy Barrett makes it, love the guy, and the other holdovers, Larsen, Woodyard, Polumbus, and Williams. With Wms. resurgence, it is too bad we didn’t draft Rey Maulauga, as I suggested, instead of Smith.
I rated the draft an A back on April 27th “If you base this draft on both the number of picks who will play and overall team impact, the Broncos easily had the the best draft weekend in their division…” So to back me up, they keep Moreno and Ayers (starters), McBath and Smith (will play), and Schleuter and Brandstater (can play). Baker free agent, icing on the cake.
With the rookies, I think they hit the jackpot, Moreno, McKinley,
They appear to like Marquez Branson.
