Deepest Darkest Most Wild Conspiracy Theory
OK...so ive been thinking (kinda strange for me...lol) about how come the MSM is so totally down on Denver. Like...most of the big names and outlets are all totally down on Denver and it was...totally weird to me...until...in the shower...like i got the most awesome thought. What if its a conspiracy thingie between the Big Market Teams, the MSM, and the Players. Wow...like...if your greatness is measured by your enemies...like we are totally the greatest ever...giggle.
Anyway...like maybe "they" have a really big and deep and vast conspiracy thingie for the Broncos. Only, what if it is really about the end of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, the lockout after the 2010 season, and Big Teams vs Little Team market thingies. What if it isn't about the Denver Broncos? What if it is about Mr B? What if it is about destroying the rally point the Small Market Owners won't have if Mr B isn't around?
Okay...so think about it. Who does the MSM want in the Super Bowl? If ESPN or NBC or CBS or ABC had a choice, who would they pick for the NFC? New York Giants or Green Bay Packers; Washington Redskins or New Orleans Saints; Dallas Cowboys or Arizona Cardinals. And what about the AFC? New York Jets or Tennessee Titans; New England Patriots or Pittsburgh Steelers; San Diego Chargers or Denver Broncos? Well, they want the mega big markets. And...who do the players want in the Super Bowl - the teams that can spend the most money. And which teams could spend more money - the Big Markets and the super marketing types.
So...how would the vast conspiracy of MSM and Big Markets and Players do this? Well, first, you gotta get rid of the salary cap. And...like...that is gonna happen way soon, after the 2010 season???? And...anybody will be able to spend money like crazy, except there will still be rules - like the final four can't, and some others, but after that years, its totally spend spend spend.
So...who doesn't wanna spend spend spend...well...the Little Markets. Teams like Green Bay and New Orleans and Denver and Kansas City and Oakland and...well...most of the AFC, and some of the NFC. And...if the Little Markets have a rally point, like Mr B, then, maybe the Big Markets don't get there way. But, if everyone just knows that Mr B is a fool and has lost his memory and is only a half step behind Al Davis, then who is gonna listen to him? Nobody, thats who.
So...if there is no CBA, and we get into a spend spend spend trip, then...omg...Jerry Jones and the Washington Snyder guy and the New York Owners will just go crazy. And...who will love it? Well...the MSM...the Players...and the Big Markets.
ROFL...well...i hope you weren't taking this very serious...just having a bad hair day.

Oh my God!
….That actually made sense….. I’m scared… maybe…. maybe they are working on getting rid of the FANS for the small market teams!!!!
Big Markets
They always say this until the league becomes uncompetitive and profits plummet and then they get all confused.
Tis better not to throw it to the deep receiver but the open receiver.
That was way too analytical for me.
It sounds eerily like how I believe that the banks have all of our politicians on a short leash, including our former Presidents and current President. What they want they get…ect ect.
That type of paranoia was something I never really applied to football. lol Well, not counting the Hall of Fame thingie.
Anyways, one part of your post did disturb me a little. “…in the shower…” You know, those kinds of statements tend to produce images within ones head. I just want you to know that the image that popped into my head was of Jessica Alba…or is it Beal? Which one played in 7th Heaven? Yeah, that chick.
Anyways, rec’d for the humorusness of the post. :)

Are you referring to the Hall of Fame triangle?

Hmmm
This all took place in the shower? I would say I would like to see that but that would be perverted.

I tend to think the Broncos-hate is more about pack mentality (like hyenas; or middle school clicks…is there a difference?) than about a league-wide conspiracy. But it’s definitely an angle I hadn’t considered. :-)

Middle school clicks...
…that sounds just about right if you’re talking about MSM.

Never underestimate the deviousness of people with power
They want to maintain control at all costs. Zappa has brought up the banking industry — don’t get me started on the Bank for Int’l Settlement and how they’re controlling the world’s economy. On a local scale is it beyond reason to think there are people plotting how to generate profit from the NFL and keep it? Look at the owner’s pedigree’s and tell me it’s not possible. Be afraid, be very afraid.

The Denver Broncos are on the lower level of the 'pecking' order.
Kind of like step children and how they get second hand fiddle, where the first children get a bye.
dang, you weren't serious

This year they have an article about the owners and team’s poer in the NFL and have Denver rated near the bottom of the pack (cue Twilight Zone theme).
Denver was at the top a few seasons ago. The question Bowlen picking McDaniels and tearing apart the team (the “player” trade) as proof that Denver is losing it.
Now thanks to MHRsGirl I understand why. I do, I do.
I listen to the voices and they do agree with this. I’m getting out my inflatable Broncos Helmet with the antenna on top. But I have one question.
What’s the frequency?

Say it ain't so! The league wide parity is the cornerstone of the NFL's attractiveness to me.
I lost my interest in MLB and the NBA a long time ago because of the lack of parity and the predictability of the big market/big money/marquee player magnets. If the NFL goes the way of MLB I will resign my NFL fanhood.
I agree, Larsen shouldn’t get any bigger. I am getting tired of his bone crushing hits knocking the pixels off my TV, once they fall to the floor they are very hard to find.
yah...makes it way hard
but…if you think about how He-Who-Should-Not-Be-Named…and his palsy walsy agent…what do you think they want. Like…everyone says its just a business…and thats what the fans get…the business.
MHR...and proud of it!
First of all, "yah.....makes it way hard" That's what she said
But on a serious note, I can definitely see where you are coming from. Who wants to see the Jaguars or Texans in the Super Bowl? Not the MSM!!!!!!
I agree with you, MHRsGirl. Great article.

whats it gonna look like? Baseball has a cba to…and who does it favor…well…the big markets…the players…and the msm…and who are the teams to beat every year…well…the yankees and red sox and dodgers and other big market teams and we dont have a chance…except once in a decade or so

If we do have an uncapped year look out for.......
small market team Seattle. Paul Allen has all kinds of money burning a whole in his pocket. That dude would go sign everybody
live and die blue and orange
I don't think we have to worry too much honestly....
I mean the cap really helps the Big Markets more overall….I mean sure no cap means player x can be paid Z amount of an arm and a leg…..but it also means that players A-Z will demand a raise as well. Also, those players hurt the team again when the cap is re-instated so it doesn’t help to go buck wild.
At least thats my understanding

Just wait...
2010 is a “No Cap” year. And then 2011 is likely a “lock out” year. That’s gonna stink worse than Government Health Care! No LOL about it.
For further proof of the conspiracy
just take a moment to consider the BCS. :D

You are closer to the mark than you think Girlie.
I am working on a post in this area. There is a bit more to it, but your revelation is pretty accurate IMO. Nice job, and a really cool read. Thanks.
