BIGGEST SURPRISE: CB Dominique Foxworth played mostly "off" coverage in Denver and Atlanta but is shining in the Ravens' bump-and-run scheme. He played well in [reseason and even shut down Carolina's Steve Smith.

never should have traded foxworth

Big mistake

As a Maryland grad, it still makes me mad that we traded fox for a 7th round pick. The guy was a good football player and a class act.

+1

He should have started over Bly last year – one of the bigger screw-ups of the Shanahan era in my opinion

It's "just" football

Foxworth was a victim of poor

defensive scheme
coaching
talent evaluation

I’ve always felt he was one of our best big-game players, able to rise to the occasion, but when it came to defense Shanahan never knew what he had and didn’t know how to use it.
