Where you can see the Broncos this weekend against the Bengals. That is, if you don't have NFL Sunday Ticket, of course.

It has to be because of the former Griz players playing for those teams.

That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. I have to go to a sports bar so the locals get to watch lex hilliard play special teams, dan carpenter kick, and kroy bierman ride the bench. Man, I hope this isn’t a recurring theme. I love the griz more than anyone and I’m happy these guys made some rosters, but seriously KPAX and KXLF??? WTF

Yay

I think we’re getting the game here in San Fran. Hurrah!

I have to Tivo it because I have a morning soccer game but will catch up to it live soon enough. I was going to say something snarky about Dan Fouts doing the game but he’s actually generally pretty good.

I'm so glad I don't need Sunday ticket....

What could have possibly possesed CBS to change the game in Montana? Do they not know that they are part of Broncos Country too? I’d be calling the local affiliates up there ASAP!

Here's my email to the Butte station (KXLF)

Hi guys,

I’m a lifelong KXLF viewer and avid Bronco fan, and I’m a little concerned. The following page (http://the506.com/nflmaps/2009/01-CBS.html) seems to indicate that KXLF has updated their schedule for the upcoming weekend and plans to show MIA/ATL instead of the Broncos game. Is this true?

I understand that Miami and Atlanta were competitive teams last year. They are also on the opposite side of the country and have statistically insignificant fan representation in Montana — not nearly on par with the local fans of more regionally located teams like the Broncos, Seahawks, Vikings and Packers.

Broncos fans in particular are extremely passionate about the team, especially this year. Denver boasts the longest current string of consecutive stadium sellouts in the NFL, and Montana fans are just as impassioned. If this change has truly been made, I urge you to reconsider and be mindful your local loyal fan bases.

Thank you very sincerely for listening.

Any other western Montanas interested in contacting them? Go here and click Email at the top of the page. You can get email addresses for the GM and head of programming by clicking the links for them on the email form.

Please lord — I don’t want to watch the Fish!!!

Their reply

Thank you for writing. We are airing the Miami/Atlanta game. This decision was based on the fact that 3 Montana kids are playing in that game. We do carry a lot of Denver games and that will continue for the rest of the reason.

Sigh. Guess I’ll try to find a sports bar with a bartender that doesn’t assume Denver will suck this year. : /

I didn't see this before my post above.

I knew this had to be it. It’s just scary to think that if Lex ends up being a star in the NFL, we’ll have to watch Dolphins games over the next few years. It’s so great not to have to worry about the games being on every week. I guess I’ll have to think of the dish. I also know the guy who runs KXLF very well. Next time we have lunch, I’ll mention this to him.

invite him to lunch tomorrow? ; )

just a suggestion… Thanks, Big Sky bro.

out of 106 players playing on Sunday thier decision was based on 3 players that used to live/play in Montana?

that’s frickin’ stupid!

They just screwed thousands of people out of watching Denver!

Worst part about being in east Nebraska

We get all the Chiefs games and they always seem to be playing the same time as the Broncos.
