Yesterday, we saw the Jets and the Cowboys advance to the next round of the playoffs. Today, we'll see the Packers at the Cardinals and the Ravens at the Patriots. So, here's another excuse to spend a very long time at MHR. The Ravens/Patriots game is on CBS at 1 and the Packers/Cardinals game is on FOX at 4:40. Enjoy the games, Broncos fans. Even though our Broncos aren't in it today, if you all are going to be hanging around, feel free to participate in the open thread.

A few names have been mentioned
Mike Munchiak, the O-line coach for the Titans was blocked by them to interview with the Texans.
Per KFFL, they are also looking at Bill Musgrave (Falcons QB coach) and Chan Gailey (Chiefs OC)
But like Bradley says..it’s likely that Dennison is the frontrunner if he wants it, considering his close ties to Kubiak

something about this I still dont get is..how can the Titans refuse Munchiak to interview, seeing as he’s being offered a promotion from O-line to OC.. I thought u could only block interviews if it involved a similar position with a new team.

By league rule, the Broncos could have denied the Texans permission to talk to Dennison. Even though the move technically constitutes a promotion, teams may block any coach under contract from leaving for any job other than head coach.

I'm not so sure that the Pats are going to miss Wes as much as some people are saying.
Sure, their production won’t be as great, but Edelman is basically just a younger version of Welker. Their offense will still produce. The big key, IMO, is how the Pats defense can stop the ravens offense.

yeah i agree with that
people have been telling me that BS all week, that I should feel sorry for the Pats since they lost Welker, and how it hurts their chances… but Edelman is a good player as well… the question is, can they stop the Ravens offense. Apparently, Flacco is not 100%, which will limit his ability to scramble…his accuracy was fine though

True, but they need to turn it around in a hurry.
They just fumbled the kickoff and were lucky to recover it. The pats need to take better care of the football and come up with some magical plan to stop the Ravens running game, because I’m sure that the Ravens will keep using it until the pats decide to do something about it.

While watching this game, I can't help but think...
that Knowshon could use some Ray Rice lessons. The holes aren’t always big, or even there, but he finds a way forward.
Ray Rice has the luxury of not meeting defenders 3 yards in his backfield, though.

I don't really know if the Ravens match up that well with the Colts
I highly doubt that Manning will make as many mistakes as Brady is making today. Also, assuming the Ravens do win today, they will have to be able to convert these field goals into touchdowns.

Watching all the game from yesterday, one thing that stand out. Teams that play great defense wins. The Ravens defense harrass Brady all day and capitalize on his mistakes. The Cardinals general two td from mistakes by the Packers offense. The Jets defense shutdown the Bengals yesterday and so did the Cowboys defense against the Eagles.
I figured out the key to winning in the playoffs.

I think this is why people watch football
let’s face it. Most games in the NFL are duds. Unless the Broncos are playing most games are almost unwatchable. But then you get that one spectacular game and it keeps you watching hoping you get to see another one.
