Good for him
Congratulations, Rick. I thought it was a little weird that a former LB was coaching our Offensive line, but he was darn good at what he did. He is better suited to coach what he knows, which is the zone blocking scheme. Good hire by Kubiak.
This will be just what Kubiak needs over there in Houston.
They will have solid running game soon.

Farewell Rick
Always appreciated him. And yeah, like Sayre I always thought it odd that a former linebacker was coaching the OL but he did also have some offense experience before the pros, and did a good job at it. As I said before I really think he’s replaceable (more so than Turner, who frankly is also replaceable), but wish him the best.
Any buzz on who McD may look at to replace him and possibly Turner?

Maybe this is a blessing in disguise

Was never overly impressed with Dennison...
I thought he was an ok coach at best. I though our LBs were not very good when he coached them. Then he moved to ST where we were absolutely terrible with him coaching. Finally he was able to learn O-line coaching from the best (Alex Gibbs). Overall, I think he more sustained the o-line more than anything. Doing it exactly the way Gibbs did while mentoring him.
Good luck Dennison (sincerely here)!! Hope you and Kubiak can finally take the Texans to the playoffs!

I was going to ask
How a linebacker ended up an offensive line coach… I guess that explains it.
I hope he does well, although I don’t think he was the most graceful match for the Broncos’ future direction, anyway.
I do like the continuation of Broncos South, though!
Dennison was Special Teams Coach During the Super Bowl Years
And the Broncos had excellent special teams — FO lists them as top-10 units — during those years. How was that terrible?
Great. He deserves a shot like this and I hope he does well.
I don’t think he’ll be missed a bit in Denver. It was time for him to move on. 2009 was not his best season in Denver.
I'm so angry at the Broncos right now.
Dennison was in a position to fail
Power Blocking with zone personnel… And a QB with feet of stone. I do think that Cutler’s mobility kind of hid the interior flaw
Good Luck, Rick
I have always liked Rick and I think this move will serve both Houston and Denver well.
Kubiak and Dennison get to work together again. They can laugh about some of Mike Shanahan’s eccentricities.
McDaniels gets to mold the offensive line in the way he wants and follow his instincts in doing so.
Could be a win/win for everyone.

Congratulations Denny!!!
Thrilled to see a guy come up through the program as a player on some of our legendary teams, who made good as a coach on our ST and offense in so many capacities, get a great chance to prove himself like this. Like Kubes, orange blood runs through the man’s veins — once a Bronco, always a Bronco. If by some chance Josh doesn’t work out (in spite of my confidence it will), I’d love to see the Kubiak and Dennison show return to Denver someday!
"All we're trying to do is win the *********** game!" -- Josh MF McDaniels tearing into his offensive line after three false starts in the red zone. The tirade turned the tide of the game, and the Broncos dominated from that point on.
to say nothing of the fact
that he’s a Montana boy! ; )

Also went to high school in the Fort. Even if it was at Rocky, which should barely count.

He will be a HC sometime soon, he definately has put in his dues.

Kidding me
I for one am glad he is gone. Why McDaniels retained him is beyond me. I am done with this light zone blocking scheme and want to move past it. Turner needs to take a trip out of town also.
