NFC Divisional Playoff - Dallas Cowboys at Minnesota Vikings
Ok, so, Saturday wasn't a good day for the road teams. I picked both and they lost by a combined score of 65-17. Ouch. Anyway, today is a new day and a new chance at redemption. Again, I am taking a road team, but the way Dallas and Minnesota finished the season I feel a lot better about the Cowboys than I did Arizona or Baltimore.

did you catch woody’s column this morning? nobody jumps on and off the Bronco bandwagon more than he does.
I used to love Woody
I can handle his viewpoints anymore. Him and Kreiger will ruin the Post despite Jeff Legwold.

Why oh why did I scroll down to the comments section on the latest Paige article?
It’s not like I didn’t know EXACTLY what I was going to read. I did it anyway. Like realizing your keys are still in the car just as you go to slam the door. Then you want to punch yourself in the face for being so stupid. Paige knows that the more ridiculous inflammatory crap he writes, the more people tune in and log on to read and argue about him. The Denver Post can’t go out of business fast enough for me just so the biggest hack in Denver sports journalism can move on.
Man is not a rational animal, he is a rationalizing animal.
I totally agree
The time has come and gone for them.

"what a sell job by Rice"
Buck, or Aikman (both) is an idiot. That wasn’t a “sell job”. Rice threw a cut block. I don’t know how going to the ground with a cut block could be construed as “faking a block”. When he saw Favre wasn’t going to get sacked he got up and caught the TD.
I hate the Cowboys and I hate how Buck/Aikman always announce them. Shouldn’t people with an obvious bias for one team probably not announce their games?

I hate to say this, but it's sticking in my mind.
Favre’s second TD pass to Harvin would have easily been a sack on Orton.
maybe but we saw Orton make a guy in similar fashion against the Chiefs
I think the better question is would Josh have called that play in the redzone to begin with ?
Yeah, he was it or miss, for sure.
I saw a few excellent examples of pocket awareness, and a couple good moves; but when he was focused downfield, he went down with much less contact than Favre expeirienced on that play.

Neither TD pass was an Orton-style pass
The first pass was just a bad decision (covered receiver) and a bad throw (inside and low) by Favre. Only a lack of awareness by the DB allowed the great catch by the WR.
Although he clearly could have thrown the ball at least as well as Favre did, Orton probably wouldn’t have risked the ball like that.
I agree with the first TD thow comments.
The DB had great position for the pick, but didn’t turn around. Then, he just gave up when he could have made the tackle befroe the goal line.
No matter. I hate Dallas, and I’m pleased, so far.

I don't think the refs are watching this game.
I’ve seen holding on Dallas’ D, chop blocks and hands to the face from their O line, and a laundry list of other uncalled fouls.
Cowboys are looking quite awful :)

Dallas is suffering the same problems Denver had
no time for the line to let the receivers get downfield. the o line is getting eaten alive.

John. Come on, man!
0-3? This is an ugly weekend for you my friend. :)
Not that I can fault any of your picks.
Go J.E.T.S, Jets, Jets, Jets. :)
It takes neither courage nor intelligence to cheer for a team only when that team wins. The true test of a fan's mettle is the same as it is for a player: Were you there when you were needed?

I have an admission to make.
I grew up just outsid od South Philly in a liitle borough called Yeadon. I was a serious minority in the schools I attended. Right in the heart of Eagles territory, the majority of kids in my schools were Dallas fans. I had it rubbed in my face so bad that, at the age of 10, if I had access to a fully automatic weapon, I’d have mowed them down.
I have since mellowed (mostly by moving away from the area), but when the Cowboys lose, I can taste the blood on my lips, and feel the tendons in my teeth.
WOOOOOOOHOOOOO! Dallas loses, again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
