Saints beat the Vikings in OT 31-28.
The Vikings had the ball on about the Saints 30 yard line near the end of regulation and appeared to be lining up a field goal. First the Vikings lost 5 yards on a 12 men on the field penalty. Then Favre threw a bad interception across the field when he had at least 10 yards open on a run to position the ball.
The Saints then got down the field in OT, and Garret Hartley hit on the 40 yard field goal. There was also another turnover at the end of the first half where Adrian Peterson fumbled the ball on the Saints 10 yard line. The Vikings had a total of 6 fumbles, and 2 interceptions.
Favre had a good day passing with 310 yards and 1 TD. Brees had 197 yards and 3 TDs.
The Colts basically dominated in the second half to advance to the Superbowl over the Jets in a 30-17 win.
