Poll of the Week - 1/25/10 - Who will win Super Bowl XLIV
Ok, an easy on for you guys and gals this week. After creating quite a stir with the last two polls, I figured I would toss you a softball to crush out of the park. No controversy, just a simple question about Super Bowl XLIV.
Of course, here were the first two polls of 2010, for those keeping score at home -
1/11/10 - Would you trade Brandon Marshall for a 1st Round Pick? 64% of 2020 votes say YES
1/18-10 - Are the Broncos headed in the right direction?? 56% of 1497 votes say YES
So, Broncos fans, who ya got?

I'm Afraid To Vote
because aside from the Broncos, who are clearly my favorite team, I like both the Saints and Colts. I’m okay with either team winning. Both Peyton Manning and Drew Brees are class and both teams are rife with character players and good owners. May the best team win but next season, I want the Broncos in Super Bowl 45.

I voted Colts but I'm rooting for the Saints!
If it were in a dome or on artificial turf it would be closer….I give the slight edge to Indy due to this factor….

that's a good point
In the ultimate contest between man (Brees) vs. machine (Manning), I’m really hoping New Orleans can pull it out. But I don’t like their chances against Peyton. Vikes would have beaten them handily minus all those turnovers.
"All we're trying to do is win the *********** game!" -- Josh MF McDaniels tearing into his offensive line after three false starts in the red zone. The tirade turned the tide of the game, and the Broncos dominated from that point on.

I missed the first half (too many very young children at witching hour)...
…but based on the second half, I’m not so sure I’ve ever seen a conference champion get so thoroughly dominated in the Championship game. To force five turnovers at home and still need an iffy call in OT to eek out a victory makes me wonder if NO has any business being there. While I can abide the idea that NO matches up better with Indy— which changes things a little— I can’t help but wonder if we’re going to witness a blowout of epic proportions in 2 weeks.
If not for my sentimental side, I’d be disgusted that New Orleans even gets to be there. They sure didn’t earn the trip from what I saw yesterday.
Go Indy.

I really don't know
Saints Secondary is not as good as the Jets, but their offense is amazing. And the Colts are one dimensional recently which could help the Saints Secondary with more linebackers to cover.
Manning though is truly one of the best ever. He makes passes that other QB’s only make in their dreams. But even a machine like Manning the elder needs some balance in the offense and I don’t think the running game is magically going to reappear for the Colts this week.
I guessed Colts because I think the Colts defense is slightly better than the Saints. But I think both teams play really solid TEAM defense where each guy knows his job and does it.
But, go Saints!
Last night, the saints looked like dead men walking. How did they win that game?
They couldn’t sustain drives, at all. Third downs were the death of them. If they weren’t handed 5 turnovers from the Vikings buttery fingers, they would have been blown out at home.
I think the superbowl will be a blowout win for the colts. 35-13. I don’t know what happened to the saints, but it doesn’t make me very confident they’ll win. The colts defense is pretty stout, too. Their young corners are not to shabby. They got beat up in the jets game because of the effectiveness of the run game and play action, but the Saints offense doesn’t pose a threat anywhere near that of the Jets running game.
Oh, and Peyton Manning plays for the colts and he is just amazing. The best in the game today. The saints defense can’t count on getting 5 turnovers from the colts.
My heart wants the saints to win but my head says they have no chance against the colts.
If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.
Why has nobody made a live-action game of Chutes and Ladders? I'd be first in line.
I am letting Favre vote for me..
I think the Colts, no wait maybe the Saints. Let me have a minute, I am not sure, I will make a decision later. You know what I think…….
Boy do we have another year of that!
No reason to vote for or against either.
Is Denver going in the right direction with the coach’s changes, absolutely. And I really love the promote within concept.
