Broncos Eliminated From Playoffs After Another Meltdown

Stay connected for news and updates

The Broncos failed miserably against the Chiefs in 44 to 24 loss.

The Broncos rushing defense was pathetic again as Charles racked up 259 yards.

Then Kyle Orton choked  on two critical interceptions that were run in for touchdowns by Johnson. The breakdown of the Broncos has occurred over the last 2 months--with only 2 wins against the Giants, and KC. The great 6-0 start was squandered on turnovers, dropped catches, and defensive meltdowns.

The Broncos last 2 games against playoff teams in Indianapolis, and Philadelphia both ended in losses. There was also a pathetic loss against the Raiders where a lack of red zone conversions, and poor run defense cost the Broncos another win.

I really do not think that firing Josh McDaniels will help this team. The last time the Broncos played well in a game McD had to tear into them on the sideline by swearing against the Giants. Players have to be self motivated, and they have to make plays when the game is on the line.

The Broncos need to be rebuilt on run defense, the offensive line, and several other positions. This Broncos team is really not a match for the top AFC teams, and they really were not good enough for the playoffs this season.
