We're going to have to play smart and disciplined today
Not only because we’re up against a tough team, but also a strict officiated crew:
“According to Baltimore Sun, the #Broncos @ #Ravens refs average 145 pen yds/gm, most in the NFL. Most PI (10) & 2nd most holding (15) calls”
-Denver radio station 87.7 The Ticket on Twitter
Hoch is starting

I was going to post
how i thought that Beadles would start today then I found out I was only partially right in that #71 (too hard to spell his name) is going to start there. How sad how sad.
I think it's a toss up
Beadles may have better physical talent, but Hoch has got the experience. I think they gave Hoch the start because Beadles can play LT or RT if Clady or Harris go down.
Hochstein >> Daniels
is all I can say.
Eventually Beadles >> Hochstein but right now not so sure.
At any rate, I hope they give Orton some added protection today from 2 TE sets and/or Gronkowski playing FB. Would expect some quick screens and such to Royal and co as they must expect the blitz.
There's no need to fear, Underdog is here! / Broncos/Dodgers/Lakers fan in Niners/Raiders/Giants/Warriors country, and damned proud of it.
Stanley Daniels is inactive
Words cannot express how happy that makes me

Been watching pregame shows
and so far nothing about the Broncos again. 45 min of espn 30 min of NFL and they did talk about the Ravens but not the Broncos.
well nevermind they didn't say anything of note at all
to me this is a pretty big game in the AFC, yet nobody else cares. I guess that’s good for us, we like to prove everyone wrong
by black_knight101 on Oct 10, 2010 10:10 AM MDT up reply actions
Just the colts/cheifs
We get no respect and I guess we deserve it until we prove otherwise. But even Detroit gets into the pregame stuff.
Gameplan Question:
Do we blitz Hunter and Ayers again on basically every play to contain Rice?
by black_knight101 on Oct 10, 2010 10:11 AM MDT reply actions
I dont think it was blitzing as much as contain
big difference, and yeah, I think we’ll do it when Rice is in
by DBroncs1414 on Oct 10, 2010 10:13 AM MDT up reply actions
they were run blitzes. McDaniels said so himself during the press conference
by black_knight101 on Oct 10, 2010 10:13 AM MDT up reply actions
Everyone knows when a coach talks football strategy to the media he dumbs it down for them
When a OLB is that far off the last guy on the line and is coming up, he’s playing contain, and its also obvious they were doing that due to the fact that CJ and VY were getting nothing to the outside
by DBroncs1414 on Oct 10, 2010 10:30 AM MDT up reply actions
did we get as much
love on the pregame show as the chiefs did when we were 3-0?
You can tune a piano but you cant tune a fish
Huge, resounding NO.
but that was because there were still other teams who were undefeated. Colts and Saints are both media darlings, and they outlasted us at 6-0.

No, plus our 3 wins last year

The difference is that KC is the media perceives as a feel-good story
whereas before we even played a game McD was being painted as a villan. Everybody was waiting for us to lose so they could relish the defeat of the evil genius

On NFL Today, they just showed a litany of Titans plays vs. the Broncos and Giants
recounting the dirty play of the Titans. It was pretty bad. I didn’t realize how bad it was. Glad our team had DISCIPLINE and didn’t get penalties for fighting back.

Dont kid yourself
I think they are one of the top teams in the league right now. Playing them close and having a chance to win at the end of the game will be HUGE. A blowout will be just as huge the other way.
they are last in the league in turnover differential. They beat a Jets team that still thought they were on Hard Knocks. They beat a Pitt team that has no passing offense (except when playing Tampa). I think they are good relative to a weak NFL year. The disparity isnt that great between team #1 and team #16
