We're going to have to play smart and disciplined today

Not only because we’re up against a tough team, but also a strict officiated crew:

“According to Baltimore Sun, the #Broncos @ #Ravens refs average 145 pen yds/gm, most in the NFL. Most PI (10) & 2nd most holding (15) calls”

I was going to post

how i thought that Beadles would start today then I found out I was only partially right in that #71 (too hard to spell his name) is going to start there. How sad how sad.

by kimbertr on Oct 10, 2010 10:06 AM MDT reply actions

I think it's a toss up

Beadles may have better physical talent, but Hoch has got the experience. I think they gave Hoch the start because Beadles can play LT or RT if Clady or Harris go down.

by jwkcsu on Oct 10, 2010 10:08 AM MDT up reply actions

Hochstein >> Daniels

is all I can say.

Eventually Beadles >> Hochstein but right now not so sure.

At any rate, I hope they give Orton some added protection today from 2 TE sets and/or Gronkowski playing FB. Would expect some quick screens and such to Royal and co as they must expect the blitz.

Been watching pregame shows

and so far nothing about the Broncos again. 45 min of espn 30 min of NFL and they did talk about the Ravens but not the Broncos.

by kimbertr on Oct 10, 2010 10:08 AM MDT reply actions

well nevermind they didn't say anything of note at all

to me this is a pretty big game in the AFC, yet nobody else cares. I guess that’s good for us, we like to prove everyone wrong

by black_knight101 on Oct 10, 2010 10:10 AM MDT up reply actions

Just the colts/cheifs

We get no respect and I guess we deserve it until we prove otherwise. But even Detroit gets into the pregame stuff.

by kimbertr on Oct 10, 2010 10:10 AM MDT up reply actions

Gameplan Question:

Do we blitz Hunter and Ayers again on basically every play to contain Rice?

by black_knight101 on Oct 10, 2010 10:11 AM MDT reply actions

I dont think it was blitzing as much as contain

big difference, and yeah, I think we’ll do it when Rice is in

by DBroncs1414 on Oct 10, 2010 10:13 AM MDT up reply actions

Everyone knows when a coach talks football strategy to the media he dumbs it down for them

When a OLB is that far off the last guy on the line and is coming up, he’s playing contain, and its also obvious they were doing that due to the fact that CJ and VY were getting nothing to the outside

by DBroncs1414 on Oct 10, 2010 10:30 AM MDT up reply actions

did we get as much

love on the pregame show as the chiefs did when we were 3-0?

You can tune a piano but you cant tune a fish

by Colby on Oct 10, 2010 10:12 AM MDT reply actions

Huge, resounding NO.

but that was because there were still other teams who were undefeated. Colts and Saints are both media darlings, and they outlasted us at 6-0.

Dont kid yourself

I think they are one of the top teams in the league right now. Playing them close and having a chance to win at the end of the game will be HUGE. A blowout will be just as huge the other way.

by kimbertr on Oct 10, 2010 10:22 AM MDT up reply actions

they are last in the league in turnover differential. They beat a Jets team that still thought they were on Hard Knocks. They beat a Pitt team that has no passing offense (except when playing Tampa). I think they are good relative to a weak NFL year. The disparity isnt that great between team #1 and team #16

If you say something that's worth remembering, people will put it in their sig or write it down or make a plaque...

Or they’ll just… you know… remember it……

If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.

LOL

I may never take that out of my sig. I need to find that whole post. It was classic KB

Anyone know of a link to watch?

I live in the dc area, have NFL Ticket, but i’m hearing that the game is blacked out locally, and since i’m in the local area even though i traded both arms and one leg in for NFL ticket, i won’t be able to watch this game. Does anyone know of a solution or link to watch the game?

Sharpe to Marshall: Why didn't you and McD get along?

Marshall: McD wanted to do some different things. (Translation: I couldn’t get the playbook and block or run routes).

Everyone talks about how improved the Ravens secondary is this season

They haven’t faced a pass-first team like ours yet. Something tells me those posers will finally be exposed for the weak DBs they really are

We need to run anywhere but into the backs of our own linemen

THAT is getting OLD
