Scout's Notebook: Broncos NT Jamal Williams

A massive, widebodied clogger who long served as the anchor of San Diego's "30" front, Williams followed DL coach Wayne Nunnely to the Broncos after being released from the Chargers in March and quickly became a staple of the Broncos' odd front. Has helped keep ILB D.J. Williams free, clogging the run on first and second downs, but is not as light on his feet as he once was and brings little value to the pass rush. Is earning his keep as an interior run defender, but must prove he can survive a full season.
