A thank you from Detroit

Now, I am not here to be cocky or brag or anything like that. But thank you for trading us Alphonso Smith. In the past 4 years, nobody has shown up, besides Louis Delmas, in our defensive backfield. Finally someone who will go up for the ball, make plays, GET AN INTERCEPTION, three nonetheless. And get a Defensive TD?! It really is a beautiful thing.

Now many may think I am over reacting since I have only seen him in three games. Still you have to see this from my point of view. Its a huge relief that when the opposing QB goes deep that we have someone back there who actually has a chance at knocking down the ball, instead of closing our eyes and praying for the best.

Now maybe the Lions got the better end of this trade. From a statistical point of view yes, but at least you got something for Smith. Some players thrive in other defensive schemes compared to others, but I have one question. Was he really that un-productive in Denver? It is definitely a major swing from unknown to making great plays.

Yet, thank you anyways. Very grateful for it!

P.S. Prolly discussed alot here but Kyle Orton is the most underrated QB in the league.
