Thanks John
was really bummed after last nights loss, but I really need to remember that we´ve been facing some of the best teams in the NFL over the last few weeks. I bet the loss will hurt the players for a while, but all that matters is that they bounce back from the tough stretch and take care of business against the teams they should beat.

On track
If this year the Broncos prove they can take care of business in the division, it will represent sure progress. It looks like we’re on the right track.
Perhaps the best hint of this is the vast media silence about our team. The herd seldom sees what’s coming.

+1.
Win every game you should win and try to win a few you shouldn’t.
Josh McDaniel's Broncos are 10 - 12. He holds a career .454 winning percentage. We are 4-12 over our last 16 games. That kind of record = top 5 overall pick territory.

Thanks for the tracks. We blew another win. I am not angry, just really disappointed that we gave a game away on simple, fundamental mistakes.
Lots more heart, some good play….but a loss is a loss….no more excuses and looking for silver linings team!

I liked the Kizla article a lot - and was pleased to hear about Moss being livid with anger after the game.
So he should be. It was good to know that the team cares enough to be angry.
Next week they have to take that intensity and anger out on the Raiders.
What would Blackie Lawless do?
Moss played pretty well yesterday as well...provided some push and good in coverage. He was responsible for a tiiped pass too!

Not often you go on a two game losing streak and don’t lose a single game in the standings vs the rest of the AFC West.
This year’s Charger team is not talented enough to go on one of those ten game win streaks. KC is better than I thought. They may well be team to beat. We went 0-2 vs our 2nd place schedule, but they get Buffalo and Cleveland instead of the Jets and Ravens. They are already 1-0 and they’ll beat Cleveland. We’ll have to go 2-0 vs KC this year. Have to go 2-0 vs Oakland as well.
Josh McDaniel's Broncos are 10 - 12. He holds a career .454 winning percentage. We are 4-12 over our last 16 games. That kind of record = top 5 overall pick territory.
They beat Cleveland already. They’ll kill the Bills in KC so they’ll go 2-0 where we went 0-2.

We need to take both games from the Chiefs.

I mean, it’s the Chiefs. Why do i find myself wanting them to play well and even make some noise in the playoffs?

I have a feeling in my gut we are going to trade Ryan Harris. Any chance Harris and low pick for Mankins? With Kazcur IR'd they need some help on their O line.

It's my opinion...
That Harris has never gotten entirely healthy. He’s been playing through pain but he’s missing his mobility. Right now, Beadles mobility and inexperience are beating Harris’s immobility and experience.
It wouldn’t surprise me that when Harris get’s healthy, he’ll reclaim a spot on the offensive line AND do a good job.

That game was a roughtone to swallow, but I really feel this is what the team needed (crazy I know). I just have a good feeling this will bring us together and make us a team that will not quit and will start winning games. Here we come!

Most people have three of our four losses coming to teams in the top 5 in the league.
There is no shame here guys — we could have won and we should have closed to the deal, move on and dominate the Raiders.

This one was on the Offense
not capitalizing on turnovers cost this game. The mental mistakes were minimalized and the defense made things happen, but the O has to finish.

Yes,
But you have to give credit to the Jets secondary. They are what really kept the Jets in the game.
My brain hurts.
Stupid Cromartie had a nice game.
Josh McDaniel's Broncos are 10-12. He holds a career .454 winning percentage. We are 4-12 over our last 16 games. It's a snap shot in time. Means nothing in a few months. But right now, it's today. Present time trending. Our most recent 16 games. When do we get to see the improvement? Or better stated, the improvement that translates into wins? Better start this Sunday.
It's not fair
I wanted them to be as overrated as I thought they were, but NOOOOOO. They come out and show why the Jets can blitz constantly without being burned.
Revis and Cromartie are a heck of a tandem. And both play to defend the pass rather than make the pick. Just not freaking fair the Jets have that…

This one was on the O, but you can give a big hand to the ST for giving away three points. Maybe 6, but a 49 yard FG is not a gimme.

A thought on splitting KO wide when TT takes the snap
I have a feeling that McD is setting the stage for a gadget play to be used later on in the season (my bet is in one of the division games if the game is close). Right now, having TT has kept the defenses honest about TT’s running abilities. I think they are gonna run a play where TT takes the snap and lateral’s it to KO who then throws it downfield for a possible touchdown.
Go Broncos
I had this thought
He was standing and watching every single time. Makes you wonder if that was what he was told to do.

That was a tougher loss to swallow than the Ravens, IMO
Similar quality of opponent, with all the injuries we had going into the game, I had lower expectations… then we actually come out and pretty much dominate in many aspects of the game, I got my hopes waaaay up, only to be crushed by the PI call and the botched snap. That is not an ideal way to end the game!!
In other news, did you guys catch the DeSean Jackson hit? I’m not sure why all the pundits are calling it a legit hit… didn’t Robinson lead with his helmet? And isn’t leading with one’s helmet a no-no?
Also, Rutgers defensive tackle Eric LeGrand got paralyzed from the neck down over the weekend. Thoughts and prayers to the player and his family… the replays of him after the collision are pretty scary… :(
Finally, on a related topic, I remember reading an SI article to start the year where a bunch of the top QB’s were interviewed. I think it was a quote by Carson Palmer that really stood out at me at the time. He basically said that he wouldn’t be surprised if at some point in the near future we witness a death on the football field. I think this possibility and all of the head-to-head collisions might be the one that thing that poses the biggest problem to football as the best sport in the nation. Players are so much faster, bigger, and stronger. Helmets are becoming more of a weapon rather than a safety measure. Player care post career is a hot topic/issue for the CBA negotiations. etc etc etc…. IMO, this is a tough tough problem to solve with not a lot of good answers. For me, it re-enforces the notion that an 18 game season may not be the best idea afterall…
I disagree. The Ravens kicked our ass. The Jets didn’t at all. I know it’s a home loss and those you can’t get back, but at least we can play with the Jets. We can beat that team.
I don’t think we win one out of ten in Baltimore and that is a far more discouraging feeling.

Yea, I suppose you're right...
It’s just that I find myself lamenting yesterday’s loss a lot more than the Monday after the Ravens game. Again, I think mostly because we were oh-so-close to pulling off the upset!
On the potential death on the field
Totally, with the helmets flying off too. I would LOVE to see a penalty if your helmet comes off. It should be tight enough you have to pull on the ear flaps to put it on and strapped on properly EVERY play.
I would bet on one of the RBs who don’t always snap both sides. The wideouts tend to do this well, but I see a lot of RBs go into a pile and the helmet flies.
User name pronounced Air-Ah-Miss Originally from my days in the SCA, became a gamer and forum tag because it is odd and it is a name I like
The helmets are designed to come off when hit with enough force. This actually provides better protection to the player as the force doesn’t get transferred into the player as much.

My dad made a great point regarding the anti-concussion push...
Why are players allowed to have helmets that don’t fit right, and unstrapped chinstraps? Every game, there are at least 4 or 5 helmets flying off of players. I know NFL players gve tremendous impacts, but with proper fitting equipment, that shouldn’t happen. I don’t get it.

I believe I saw/read somewhere...
that the NFL is looking into that. And looking into handing out contracts to companies that make a better product, particularly helmets that don’t fly off so often.
Also, Mike Golic made a great suggestion this morning on the radio… that an easy / quick adjustment the league could make right away for the concussion problem, is to mandate the use of mouth guards.
+infinity
I know when I played I choose to pay extra in HS to get what at the time was a better helmet than the standard. Most kids either did that or applied to the scholarship to do so. And it was only $25/kid. Our coach pushed this and encouraged it. No way the NFL cannot afford to step up and require the advanced helmets that really are a pain in the butt to get on and off.
Sanchez was wearing one of these and I was happy to see he had to make sure he put it on right to get it to go on. THAT is how it should be!

I usually disagree with Kiszla on everything, but I have to agree with his column.
Yeah, the Broncos are flawed in many ways. But I think this team has a much better chance of getting into the playoffs than last year at this time. It’s a mixture of bad luck, doing the little things wrong (rookies play factoring in), and last but not least, all the injuries.
This next game with Choakland will tell us a lot – do they go into the tank or do they kick the Raiders @ZZ! I, for one, think the Cryptkeeper’s team has got a beatin’ wating for them.

Yup, as much as I don’t care for Ryan, at least he’s candid enough and blunt to admit they didn’t completely earn it.
The players on the other hand: Sanchez, Holmes….their quotes were a little cockier. Sanchez said something like they were appreciably better than Denver. Don’t think so, pal. You guys made fewer mistakes. That’s all.
