Mark Sanchez's most impressive trait; 10 things to watch for - Peter King - SI.com
Before I get to my column on what Mark Sanchez has been doing consistently better than Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Drew Brees (what a tease!), a few words about what a powerful thing the National Football League is. Is this league a steamrolling ATM or what? The ratings, the interest, the hype, the stories ... Never ceases to amaze me. Latest case in point: NFL Network sending Jim Mora (the son) to interview Michael Vick. Brilliant idea. Vick dogged it under Mora, and if Mora did his media job the right way, he just might get him to say something really good. Well, Mora did his job, and Vick played his part. The chunk of the interview, airing Sunday on the network's pregame show, that seems most compelling:

But some of them, like this week's, really deserve the screaming headline treatment.

I want to see me some D Thomas on Sunday. I’d like to see him smoke the Titans #2 CB on multiple occasions.
The Titans have some weaknesses and injuries in the secondary. Denver holds a big edge when it comes to our passing game.
Is David Thorton playing for the Titans or is he on PUP. I believe Gerald McRath is also suspended for this game. If so, that leaves the Titans down two of their starting LBs.

I agree
Their second best CB probably can’t cover any of our 6 WRs. We gotta use this to our advantage.

McG is right
DThomas could be the key. His physical mismatch should lead to a few targets even when he is covered, the question is, will Orton take those kinds of shots? I think as long as the Titans don’t bracket DT, Orton may give him some chances to go up and get the ball.
We can hope.

Absolutely!
This should be another big game for KO and the WR corps. Hopefully Brandon Lloyd is good to go, so we can start our ‘red zone’ at about the 40, and avoid that pesky ‘20 and in’ area!
I’ve been away from the site for most of the last few days because of work. I’m excited about the whole O-line being healthy, but I’m still not sure exactly WHO is starting where? I know C, both T, and Kuper, but is the other G position going to be Beadles or Daniels starting? Are we worried that finally having the whole line together will cause the “time needed to gel” to re-start, or is the experience of Clady, Kuper, Harris going to outweigh the lack of reps together as a unit?

The little hints McD gave in his presser may indicate the starter.
He mentioned Beadles was practicing back in his LG position, but Daniels was doing a fair job also, so who knows? Like McG said, we’ll know tomorrow at 11am MT for sure…
restarting the gelling process is a worry
for me anyways…
This could be one reason not to move Beadles inside, just to keep communication consistent along the front (since Harris would be communicating mostly with Kuper and Graham, both guys who already know him and have played with him…and of course he can always be given extra help if needed.)
On the other hand though, if beadles has a higher ceiling than Daniels, getting another gelling process out of the way may benefit us more in the long urn…
On the other hand other hand though, if Daniels has done better at guard than Beadles has at RT, than maybe it comes into consideration that he hasn’t really played G for over 3 years….
On the other hand other hand other hand though,….

Yep!
I was shocked we didn’t use him more last week, but Lloyd was on fire.
We could really use his size and speed in attacking the endzone from outside the 10 yard line!

injuries?
we only have 1 injury in our secodnary, and he is just as good as our starter

McCourty and Ford are out, Thornton is on PUP, McRath is suspended for the first 4 games I believe so he is also out.
This Titan team is missing more pieces than the injury report would let on.
Good.

That is a plus for us, but, will it be enough?
We all know CJ is going to pound the ball down our throats even if he isn’t successful in his first few attempts. The key to winning this contest is for Orton and the offense to score points on every possession starting with the first one. When our offense starts out with 3 and outs for the first few possessions it puts a big strain on our defense…Score early and often and we should have a good game down at the end.
Maybe not a must win
but a statement game perhaps….in my eyes it’s a must win because almost every game is. But we need to send a message to the rest of the league.
Excuse me, do these effectively hide my thunder?
I think this is a must win if Denver has playoff hopes for this season.
This Titans team is not amazing. We have to be able to win these kind of games if we are indeed a playoff caliber football team.
Of the next three games, this is the easiest one.

Agreed
We HAVE to shake off the tendency to play up or down to the level of the opponent. That is a hallmark of immature and mediocre teams, and it’s well past time to dominate inferior opponents. I’m thinking watching the tape of last week’s game will light a fire under everyone.
On a side note, I watched some of last week’s game again. Is Vickerson an underrated pick-up for this team, or what? The more I watch of that guy, the more I’m thankful we grabbed him.

Seattle was foolish to cut Vickerson. He is an NFL player without question. Saved us a draft pick in 2011. Hunter was also a good pickup, but I’m not as certain about his long term role in Denver. He needs some good games to secure his role in 2011 and beyond. Ditto with Moss (whom I still think sucks).
The guy I don’t get is Daniels. Green Bay cut him in the preseason because he stinks. Well I’ve watched some Green Bay games and their O-line stinks. Denver’s O-line is much better than GBs. So why are we starting a GB cast off?
My only hope is that we are not starting a GB castoff and Beadles is the starting LG on Sunday.

Who took the most reps at LG when Harris was healthy, do you remember?
I’d like to think that Beadles did and hopefully gets the start, but I’m not sure.

Jarvis Moss has not shown why he was a 1st rd choice and I for one am disappointed with him...
With his height and long arms he could be a stud at batting down passes or setting up INTs for the LBs…His pass rush potential is all but null and void…
The little bit I've watched him when he's in there
He still just does not have any fire. Some guys just don’t have that personality. Champ, for instance, is more of a quiet, “get the job done” type. But with Jarvis, the lack of fire looks on film like he’s timid, and a little bit like he’d rather not be out there. I hate to say this, but based on most of his film, I almost wonder if his heart is in it or not.

hopefully Harris' return will be huge
Under McD, we averaged 133 YPG running the ball when he has played and 88 YPG when he hasn’t. Obviously there are other factors there but hopefully he will be a big force in the running game.
Let'hope he stays healthy now bk101...
If we don’t get the running game up and going Kyle will suffer down the road.
Ok where's broncoman when you need him...
Fat butted Dan Williams is benched for being over weight, just who we wanted to draft huh?
It's nice to see our o-line getting healthy
Now all we need is Knowshon back! Watching Laurence Maroney run the rock makes me sick!

Man, it’s really hard to believe, that in 24 hours (give or take), We’ll be enjoying the Broncos 4th regular season game already!!! This offseason was one of the longest ever, in my memory.
Let’s treat ‘em like the Houston Oilers they used to be, Broncos!!!
That was the first playoff game I ever attended… At Mile High, Elway and the Broncos, slaughtering Warren Moon and the Oilers. Ahhh, the memories. Can’t wait to have more like those. ( =
That's quite a long handle there, G Funk. - That's what she said.
