Time for The Broncos to Prove They are Better

First of all, those of you who have read my posts and comments know that I am a believer in all that is going on at Dove Valley, and almost all of what I post is positive and supportive of our Broncos; however, this week's game will be a defining moment for this year's team and the current regime  I have always told my players that he who is good at making excuses is seldom good at anything else. This week the Broncos MUST WIN BABY!!!!  Anything short of victory will force me to admit that all I have said on this blog before have been nothing but excuses. I will explain why after the jump..

All of us read this week that the Broncos have played the toughest schedule in the NFL thus far and there may be some truth to that, but the Raiders are not a top team ( if you think they are you still dress-up for Halloween and bob for apples with your Darth Vader mask) We are playing them at home; we should be hungry for revenge for last year; we are more talented then they are; we are coached better than they are.  If you can't win this game then the last 3 statements are nothing more than excuses.

The Raiders are not a strong opponent, yes they have won two games but they are in the bottom 3 or 4 in the NFL power rankings and have not even had a 500 record in several years. Teams who have playoff aspirations must win games like this at home. We split with the raiders last year if we are better more physical than last year we must sweep them this year.

Confidence is so important in sports we need to develop some. Confidence comes from winning games you are expected to win. Players need to believe in each other and their coaches a win this week will restore faith to all.

Conversely, a loss will lead to so much questioning doubt and outside ridicule that it will make any emotional rebound that much more difficult. Good teams have a shared vision and believe that the coaching staff is giving them the best chance to win. Competitors by nature question everything after losses, which is a good thing, but too much of it leads to tentative play and fear of failure. Good teams do not have fear!!!!!!!

Additionally responding from adversity creates unity and builds team confidence faster than any new play, making a trade or ordinary win.  Last weeks loss was definitely adversity. It is crucial that that we respond to it immediately.

The good news is that the broncos are a better team this year and will beat the Raiders this Sunday.  Not only that it will lead to a string of victories and an AFC West title.  We are better, but winning is a habit so is loosing this weeks game is the single most important game of the McDaniel's era it is a MUST WIN .  The Broncos have made the personnel changes necessary but they have not developed a culture of winning. That must start this weekend.  If it does not too many outside forces will tear away at all the positives. Which really means all the Broncos will have left are EXCUSES.

GO BRONCOS IT TIME TO PREFORM WHEN YOU HAVE TO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
