Know your enemy: Taking a closer look at Oakland's top players.
The Denver Broncos are coming off a heartbreaking loss against the New York Jets, this team will look to take out their anger against divisional rival--the Oakland Raiders.
There is a saying that has been used with the Denver Broncos over the past two seasons, and that saying is, "You control your own destiny." Such is the case with this year's team, 6 of Denver's final 10 games are against AFC West opponents--go take it boys!!
Now, lets take a look a closer look at some of the Raiders' play makers.
Know your enemy!

Michael Bush-The Raiders do not have a very good passing attack, Bruce Gradkowski and Jason Campbell are both injured, making an already weak passing game that much worse. The Raiders are, however, a good rushing team, most likely Darren McFadden will not play, providing Bush with much more playing time.
Bush was a 4th round pick in 2007 from Louisville, many people believe that he is the better of the two Oakland RBs, and at times has shown flashes of brilliance--showing that he can be a play maker.
Last year, against Denver, Bush ran the ball 18 times for 133 yards. Totaling an Unacceptable 7.4 YPC.
In order for Denver to win, they must contain the outside and force Bush back into the inside where all of Denver's "beef" is, and force Kyle Boller to throw the ball. Much like Denver did against Tennessee.
Warning: This video may bring back painful memories--hopefully the Broncos remember this. It's time for some payback!
Louis Murphy-Murphy is arguably Oakland's best offensive player. He was drafted in the 4th round in the 2009 NFL Draft from the University of Florida.
Murphy made a pretty smooth transition to the NFL, and had a much, much better rookie campaign then fellow WR Darrius Hayward-Bey. Last year Louis Murphy played in all 16 games. He had 34 receptions for 521 yards and 4 TDs. Which gave him a 16.2 YPC average. Not a great year, but a solid one, especially for a rookie.
Currently, Murphy has 19 receptions for 308 yards and 1 TD. He is well on pace to shatter last years numbers.
In this game against the Broncos, don't expect Murphy to be much of a factor. Most likely Oakland will have to resort to their 3rd string QB, Kyle Boller. However, you have to respect this kids talent, no matter which QB is under center. If you don't, then he can burn you.
Rolando McClain-I will be honest--I love McClain. In fact, I wanted Denver to draft him. So, like many Broncos faithful, it broke my heart to see the Raiders draft him.
McClain is young, but you can see that he will be something great. There is not that much NFL tape on the kid yet, but of the few games that he has played in he has been everything that I thought he would be.
McClain currently is 3rd on his team in tackles. (33) I look forward to the match up between our RBs and McClain.
All in all, this is a game that the Denver Broncos can/should win. But there are no guarantees in the NFL, especially against a divisional rival. I for one, am not going to take this team lightly....it should be a great game. Remember, 6 out of the final 10 games are against AFC West opponents--let's get the ball rolling on Sunday!

Nice article...
But you really should change your poll:
Who will win Sunday’s game? choice 1: Broncos choice 2: Broncos

Thanks Broncospriestess!
lol I just may have to do that. Honestly, I feel that Denver will win this game-but this is a divisional game….anything can happen. I am not going to take ANY team lightly, even the Oakland Raiders.

Exactly the attitude I hope Our team is constantly feeling!
(and I’m not talking about changing the poll) ( ;

From looking at the press conference....
McD and his troops all are feeling this way. They are angry about last weeks loss and want to take it out on the Raiders. But they are not taking the Raiders lightly, in fact, they seem to be praising them.
Let’s pray for a good ’ol fashioned Broncos butt kicking!

Thanks Dustin!
Great read, and thanks for the (ugly black and silver) videos… Gosh that even hurt to type.
Kidding aside, I think you’ve laid out the three major variables for concern here very well. And I’m not talking about offense, defense and special teams (okay, I guess I’m back to the kidding some more)…. I’m with you on McClain too, I was hoping for some Defensive bolstering in the likes of McClain myself… Him and Eric Berry, and look who got each. At least it will be easier to follow their progress respectively.

Thanks bro.
I intentionally put that video of Bush running against our D to stir up painful memories—hopefully McD and the rest of the coaching staff has done the same—it’s payback time!
I liked Eric Berry as well, although I never expected him to fall to us in the draft—I did with McClain. And to see such a classy guy go to such an unruly organization almost brought tears to my eyes.
It is interesting to see all the SEC players that are now in the AFC West….

Recent History
Has seen the Broncos make 2nd and 3rd string QBs and RBs look like HOF players. I am hoping/expecting that McD has resolved this and we kick ass when we should. This game will be very telling in that sense.
True, one only has to look
back to last years meeting between these two teams for prove of that. I believe that the Broncos are ready, and will reward us Broncos faithful with a win!

Louis Murphy is really good
I mean, to be good on the Raiders, you have to be really good because you’re not in an atmosphere conducive to development.
On a side note, who the F voted Raiders?! GTFO!
Good point.
Something that I found interesting, Murphy plays much better when Gradkowski is under center. We all know that he is not going to play, which is a good thing for Denver.
Most likely, a couple of Raider fans voted for the Raiders, which is fine. I know I’ve done that on S&B pride before. lol.

good write up
you are making quite a case though in keeping the highest paid and possibly best corner back in the league off this list
and i would respectfully disagree and say that Zack Miller is by far their best receiving threat.
no matter how you put the list together though, we are are going to lay the smack down on Sunday!
GO Broncos!

True, I should have clarified....
Louis Murphy is Oakland’s best WR.
Agreed, let’s go Broncos!!
