Film on the 49ers, and Six Broncos that deserve your Pro Bowl Vote
I've recently posted two articles over on BT and wanted to share them with you all but as it seems no one reads the FanShots so I decided to post bits of them here with a link. (If that's not cool just let me know.)
The first; Film Room: Preparing for San Francisco

Every week, teams review film, discuss what they did right and wrong, then spend an entire week breaking down film on their upcoming opponent. Similarly, in BT’s Film Room, I’ll watch film on the Broncos upcoming foe week-to-week and give you my thoughts on what to watch for on Sunday. This week: San Francisco 49ers Edition.
Despite their 1-6 record, the San Francisco 49ers certainly need to be given some respect – especially their talented offense which features Tight End Vernon Davis, Running Back Frank Gore and Receiver Michael Crabtree.
Judging from the film, Davis is the guy the Broncos defense really needs to prepare for. Davis has been on a hot streak, catching a touchdown in each of the 49ers last four games. This season, the Niners’ leading reciever–Davis–has caught 32 passes for 422 yards and four touchdowns. San Francisco likes to get Davis down the middle of the field in one-on-one match-ups against linebackers and overmatched/undersized cornerbacks – where Davis is extremely effective.
Here’s a great example of a Tight End running a simple fly, or seam pattern and beating a linebacker – something the 49ers will certainly like to do against the Broncos. Click HERE to read the rest of this post.

The second article--Six Broncos that deserve your Pro Bowl vote--is just what the title says, six Broncos that deserve to make the Pro Bowl. You'll probably notice I didn't mention Kyle Orton, and it's nothing against him and if he starts playing again like he did earlier this year I'll be the first to say he should be a starter in the Pro Bowl. But as I don't believe he's quite up there with Manning, Brady, Schaub, and Rivers in the AFC, I don't know if he is Pro Bowl worthy just yet - but that's just my opinion and you undoubtedly disagree, but that's ok.
Anyways, here's the beginning of the post, which by-the-way features a photo of D.J. Williams courtesy of Paul Cloud who takes Fantastic shots of the Broncos' home games. Check out and like his facebook page: Paul Cloud Photography

Six Broncos that deserve your Pro Bowl vote
Your vote counts, so get to the polls!
Fan voting for the 2011 Pro Bowl has started on NFL.com! Voting for the NFL’s annual All-Star Game can be done online and on web-enabled mobile phones by going to NFL.com/ProBowl.
After last weeks embarrassing loss to Oakland, there’s been some grumbling in Bronco Nation that no Broncos deserve to make the Pro Bowl this year. On the contrary, there are in fact six players that do deserve your vote:
Brandon Lloyd – Wide Receiver. This season Lloyd has been on fire, catching 14 passes of 20 plus yards and 6 of 40 plus yards, ranking him second in the NFL in receiving yards with 709. What’s even more amazing is he’s done all that off only 35 catches, giving him a 20.3 yards-per catch average. To put that in perspective, consider Miami’s Brandon Marshall, Atlanta’s Roddy White, and Indianapolis’ Reggie Wayne all have a 13.8 yards (or less) per catch average. Also of note, 91% of Lloyd’s catches this season have gone for first downs – a stat quarterbacks and coaches love.

Again, I just wanted to share this with you all, but didn't want to post the whole articles because I didn't think that would be right considering I wrote them for BT. If that's a no-no or something I understand and will refrain from doing this again in the future. Enjoy, Go Broncos!

Hopefully Dawkins can come back and help vs. Davis
plus I heard Davis has been hurt recently, anyone know about this?
And fully agree on Orton. Orton played like a pro bowler the first 4 games, but the last 3 were anything but. Hopefully he turns it around
Thanks for this unique post
I’m surprised that you left off Kyle Orton from Pro-Bowl consideration, although it is still early. Of course I agree that he’ll have to play like he had in the first 6 weeks to deserve it, because Sunday’s performance was worse than last year’s week 17 performance.
Colquitt was also a surprise. No one’s missing Kern or Berger, that’s for sure.

Frankly, a 2-5 team does not deserve to send 6 to ProBowl
Bronco Nation complained that we have fewer Hall of Famers then Chargers, even though we won 2 Super Bowls to their zero. And it makes sense.
On a 2-5 team, there still may be a standout player who is surrounded by mediocrities. Maybe even 2. But if you have 6 playing at ProBowl level, why is it not showing in your results? It is simply impossible to have 6 players at a very high level right now and the team failing as badly as ours.
6 players don't get it done....
That’s what is great about the NFL is that you HAVE to field a complete team. Lebron’s carried the Cavs for several years, a baseball team with an ace pitcher and a couple big sticks in the lineup can be very successful….NFL teams are not good unless they are pretty solid throughout.
With that being said, I don’t believe that we have 6 Pro Bowl deserving players this year. There we can agree, I just don’t go along with the statement that if you have 6 Pro Bowlers you are automatically a good team.
Why not?
The Pro Bowl is about players, not teams, while wins are about teams not players.
