Q&A: Gadget plays not the answer for Broncos - The Denver Post
Q: So, the Broncs are looking great between the 20s, but then they become predictable. This is the first time I have missed coach Mike Shanahan. Perhaps I am just not football smart enough, but why not put in Tim Tebow and run an option or a quarterback sneak (Kyle Orton is big enough to pull that off)? Or how about a reverse with Eddie Royal or better yet with Demaryius Thomas? Something besides running again and again and again? What am I missing here?

The Packers have won the last four matchups, after not playing for 13 years. They didn't play between 1988 and 2001 -- a rarity that two teams from the same conference would go that long without playing. Green Bay has won 17 of 30 games in this series that started in 1932. The Packers were plus-24 turnover differential in 2009, but are minus-1 this year.

Peter King's NFL Week 4 game-by-game predictions - Peter King - SI.com
Denver Broncos (2-2) at Baltimore Ravens (3-1) Great test for the NFL's passing-yards leader, Kyle Orton (1,419), who is on a silly 5,676-yard pace. Baltimore's secondary is playing far, far better than anyone thought it would. I see a good duel here, with Orton getting his yards and Baltimore getting the win.

Agreed, Marino did it his whole career
And he is still knocked by some for not winning one.
I am a bear of very little brains and big words bother me.
McX is doing the right thing by waiting on the Bailey deal. No Bronco should be resigned until the CBA has been resolved. Could be a whole new set of rules in a few months and Denver doesn’t want a contract on their books that turns out to be toxic simply because they didn’t have a crystal ball.
Champ is rich and making top CB money this season. He can and will shut his mouth and play out the deal like a professional should.
Great win by the Avs last night. Really glad hockey is back. The next few months is is the best time of the year.
Josh McDaniel's Broncos are 10 - 10. He holds a .500 winning percentage. Updated weekly.
agree about Hockey being back.
i think the avs have a shot at making a deep playoff run this season.
fall is the best.

Wait a minute
Let me get this straight – Chuck “Corky” Cecil shows the entire football universe the “Hawaiian peace sign” and gets fined $40,000, while Cortland Finnegan punches another player in a game and gets only a $5,000 fine? Shouldn’t it be the other way around?

So it’s not the severity of the incident, but how much exposure it got. Wow. I hope I’m not the only one who thinks that’s backwards.

I agree with you...
(Of course I actually thought Cecil’s finger was hilarious, but that’s just me. I understand why he was fined, and it was totally disrespectful. But the other incident was directly dangerous.)
There's no need to fear, Underdog is here! / Broncos/Dodgers/Lakers fan in Niners/Raiders/Giants/Warriors country, and damned proud of it.
You are not. I totally agree with you.
An elbow to the back of the head and around the brain stem would be a potentially devastating injury. That’s BS and that little POS Finnegan should of been fined much higher.
I only hope that when he screws up again and throws his next cheap shot that the NFL responds accordingly and not only gives him a fine but suspends his ass for a game or two. I won’t hold out much hope for that, though.

I agree as well
I just think it’s a PR (Big picture) thing with the league. They are protecting the overall product. The media will sensationalize the finger because it will get all the action. And the people who saw (or viewed later) the punch are likely in the minority. there is a higher number of non-football fans than there are football fans. The league wants to increase the popularity of the sport, so they want to downplay the negatives. Showing disrespect (the finger) is a bigger turn off than a punch since this is a contact sport. Consider this: Wrestling is a contact (ok, I won’t call it a sport). They are both in the entertainment business and the contact is what sparks the interest. So being a Punk would not help that cause.
