Broncos need to be tough on DJ

Wow! Guess what young coach Mcdaniels is faced with another very tough decision.  However while many will find a way to blame it on the coach he is in no way responsible for the Broncos latest obstacle to winning.  As much a it will make beating the Chiefs more difficult, the Broncos need to suspend DJ immediately and indefinitely. I will explain why this is the only correct choice after the jump.

First let say that if this were not DJ's 2nd offense I would feel very differently. However, My biggest contention is not that an adult made a bad decision (not to make light of the dangers of drinking and driving) but that at a critical point in the season one of the team captains could NOT have done anything worse to his teammates.  This was a selfish act and shows that DJ has little or no respect for his coach organization or teammates.  At a time when the Broncos need to unify and have each others back, perhaps the last chance the team had to pull together and regroup.  Everyday people have to make decisions that are ruled by how the the possible outcomes might affect his job friends or family.  Good people think about those they care about before themselves.  Everything about DJ's choice screams I don't care that it is 3 days before a game, I don't care that it makes my coach who talks about intelligence and character look like a hypocrite, I don't care that my team is very short on ILB's  I don't care that captain's behavior are examples for the rest of the team.  When your best players do not care enough to to avoid getting arrested not to mention preparing properly they must be treated harshly.

So IMO Josh and MR. Bowlen should suspend DJ immediately and indeffinately.  We need to say If you don't care you don't play for the Broncos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell me what you would do.
