Dave Krieger, a writer at the Denver Post, has come up with a fabulous idea -- he's heading up Campaign Orange to try and convince the Broncos to give up their bland navy blue uniforms and go back to the glorious orange they used to wear. Check out his article at: Krieger: Broncos should become agents of orange. The Broncos have to notify the NFL by March 1, 2011 if they want to make the orange their standard uniform for 2012, so come on MHR, let's get behind this. It's really easy. All you have to do is email the Broncos Public Relations Department at public.relations@Broncos.NFL.net and tell them how much you'd like to see them bring back the classic orange look. (It's probably best if you don't mention all the orange gear you already own, instead point out how much money you'd spend buying the new items. Remember, in the NFL it's always about money.)
Dave's asked that if you do send an email that you also cc him at email@example.com. Real mail with an actual stamp is also encouraged: Public Relations Dept., Denver Broncos, 13655 Broncos Parkway, Englewood, CO 80112.
Sounds like the coach and players like the idea: ". . . I think our guys kind of like wearing the orange. .. . I love to wear the orange, I do," McDaniels says. "I wouldn't mind it at all. I think you're right, we kind of get excited. Everything, from when you walk in the locker room, it looks different when you've got all the orange jerseys and all that. It wouldn't bother me at all."
