Jay Glazer provides some additional details about the video controversy. Says Josh McDaniels knew how illegal video taping worked in New England and that his coaches are beginning to turn on him after they got chewed out by McDaniels in front of Pat Bowlen after Raiders blowout.

Glazer hasn’t been the most credible of reporters in the past. He’ll pretty much run with any story, even if he only has 1 source. Most credible reporters (Jeff Legwold, for example) don’t publish things unless they get 2-3 sources.

Agree
He cares a lot about getting the scoop first even before it’s confirmed. When I posted the video it wasn’t because I thought this was a great story or the truth, but rather because I knew we, as Bronco fans, love to consume every bit of info about our team.

totally unprofessional if he outted his staff in front of the owner
i lose a little more faith in McD everyday.

Yeah, after that game everyone should have been being chewed out by Bowlen
McD should not have been exempt.
He may turn out to be a great coach
But it wont be in Denver.
Its anchorman not anchorlady. And that is a scientific FACT!
so you’re saying we are a bunch of saps?
If he is going to be a good coach, we should benefit from his learning mistakes, not some other team.
If he is going to be out of the league and never to return, then let’s boot him.
But why should we train the guy for another team win with? Just so our fans can feel like he was “punished” for making MSM dopes like Glazer rip on us repeated?
McDaniels is out this year I think barring some miraculous run...
This is just bad. The league is laughing at us, I’d be so much happier with Shanny’s .500 team than this laughing stock we have right now.

It’s a weird report from Glazer. Not really any facts, just insinuations.
I would like to know if McD was the first to speak or if someone else in Dove Valley brought this deal to Bolwen’s attention.
I’d also like to know why Glazer says the NFL busted Denver when the NFL said Denver turned itself in. That, my friends, is a contradiction.
With a rookie cap limiting their salaries a pending certainty, having a Top 10 pick in the 2011 draft will hold more value than at any other time in the last decade. So that's cool.

I can tell you why
It’s because he has absolutely no facts to back it up. Why do you think none of the “respected” people in the media are reporting this? What happened was he heard it from his friends cousin Bob’s aunts doctors sisters uncle earl. It is fiction purely for the sake of readership, he has no system of checks and balances that the respected reporters live by.

It's Jay Glazer
The is a complete tool. Nothing this guy ever reports is true. If you believe anything this guy reports you are clueless

So.... here is the rub:
some see this and believe it. Buy it, lock, stock, and barrel.
others see the official NFL report, and believe that.
Remember how we called for some passion… some emotion after that embarrassment against the raiders? Well, I would expect the HC to lay into his staff after that. If they can’t man up and take it to heart when they KNOW they screwed up, they shouldn’t be coaches.
When I was in college, I was in private lessons for music composition. My teacher told me to write a virtuosic piece of music – something extremely difficult that stretches the limits of the instrument and performer. After I wrote it, he asked me to try to find someone to play it. I couldn’t find anyone. He checked it, and said, yes, it was a playable piece of music. No one wanted to play the music. He asked me why. After some discussion, I came to the conclusion that you have to earn a reputation before musicians will take you seriously. If it was music written by a famous composer, and it was very difficult, the musician would expect themselves to work hard enough to play it. Since it was written by a student composer, it was assumed to be impossible to play, that the student didn’t know what he was doing.
Coaching must be the same. If Bill Parcells demans you, you must deserve it, and he’s trying to make you better. If little Joshie McD yells at you after an historic loss, everyone gets bent out of shape. Even if Josh is doing his job, there is a perception that he is not experienced enough to coach with that kind of authority. He’s labeled arraogant, not passionate. It’s a double standard.

to McG and Harv.
Jay Glazer is a douche, anyway.
-sigh- Broncos: 3-7.
Buffs: 5-7.
Ducks: 11-0!
Hawks: 7-5 >:(
I don't know whether to believe this or not...
but I can tell you…Jay Glazer has broken a lot of stories…even ahead of Adam Schefter. Some may consider him to be a tool, but I tend to listen when he breaks a story. Why is it that whenever we have media speak ill of the Broncos, they are tools, douche’s, and hacks?
Time will tell if there is anything more to the story…doesn’t seem to be any other outlets picking up on the story at this point.

Part of breaking stories is reporting stuff before it is fully vetted. Sometimes you’ll hit and when you miss, no one will remember or call you on it.
Compare this story with PK’s story and then ask yourself who is the more respected/credible journalist?
I agree with you but...
my point is that Jay Glazer isn’t exactly an idiot when it comes to football. He may not be as well established as PK, but he has certainly grown in stature the last year or so. Like any other profession…it takes some time to establish a ton of respect and credibility right?

“it takes some time to establish a ton of respect and credibility right?”
Do you apply that same standard to McDaniels?
Sure...
I’m sure after 5-10 years of coaching he may turn out to be one of the great ones…or maybe not. But the NFL isn’t a profession where you have the luxury of taking time a lot of time to establish that respect and credibility. when you have many millions of dollars on the payroll…and your unit isn’t producing…your head is on the chopping block. Even Shanahan was fired after a few mediocre years. This was a coach that had tons of respect and credibility. When it comes the media…how much money is on the line? Two completely different beasts.

My problem with this story is the facts don't add up.
He says the NFL saw and confronted Scarnecchia, yet in all the official reports, it’s stated that the Broncos upper management informed the NFL when they learned of this.
I’m inclined to beleive the offical report based on the timeframe of events. Feels like he’s just trying to throw wood on the fire.
