Where's that dude that abides? (Lymiric time)
Last year we had quite an entertaing lymiric war going back and forth. It was pretty cool to smack talk in a different kind of way. It was one of the great things about Mile High Report. The blogger usually titled his posts "The dude that abides, stats that don't lie" and was very informative. I really miss reading those. But he also would start lymiric wars with that weeks opponents.
Since this serious oversight needs to be rectified, I'll start one out, and y'all can join in:
Where's that dude that abides?
Ya lose to the Raiders and hide?
I'm calling you out
But your just gonna pout
When KC takes the Broncs for a ride
Come on Bronco fans, get your digs in!

The Dude's new digs
The Dude has a new address: http://www.itsalloverfatman.com/ By all means let him know the limerick wars should continue. Sadly, any sort of rhyming skill is beyond me but they are certainly fun to read.

Can someone that's a member there let him know?
I enjoyed his articles and such, but there’s a limit on how much internet one can surf!
You can also find
Doc Bear and Doug Lee at the same site, worth it IMHO.
Take my advice, I never use it.
There once was a dude named Captain
He loved the Chiefs with a burning passion
But on Sunday the Broncos will run ramshod
proving the Chiefs are a facade, a true fraud
and it will leave the Caveman listless and crappin’

It's up to you McD
to expose the upstart Chiefs
with a game plan in hand
to dismantle and disband
and reclaim the division lead

nice limericks bro
Nor berate or to pester, nor sob
9-6-9 is a limericks job
so the Cheifs week is here
like the raiders their (they’re) queer (….umm….funny….)
and Cassel will end up like a blob.

How dare you call Matty Cassel a "blob"
He’s been watching his weight. Perhaps Matt Cassel & Brady Quinn could start a reality show entitled “Football player on paper, Swedish models by nature.” It would totally eclpise the Ocho/TO show as worst garbage on TV.
Hey Chiefs fan, you’re not welcome here
TJ’s missed, but come close and hear…
He’s around here somewhere
So please don’t despair
But on Sunday, be stricken with fear
P.S. I don’t really mean the whole “you’re not welcome here” thing. It just fit my limerick. :)
If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.
There once was a man named Todd Haley
He took over for an overwhelmed Chan Gailey
the Broncos he thinks he’ll sweep
put us in the trash heap
but on Sunday he’ll be the crybaby.

There once was a coach named McD
That beat his mentor, to speak
Fist bumps where the peak
Then KC came to town
And he turned a frown
Now go chant you’re Incomplete
In my crystal ball, I see the future
I see the Broncos wounds healed and sutured
Not so fast Mr. Chief
on Sunday, we’re gonna squash this greasy beef
and leave Kansas City fans in a punch-drunk stupor.

Peyton Hillis is traded & gone
where is our run game, where is the new dawn?
the Chiefs are coming to squelch our chances
so no more ballet, no more running back dances
just pound it down their throat with Knowshon!
by PaleHorse78 on Nov 9, 2010 8:25 PM MST reply actions 1 recs
You know the Chiefs are for real
Charles and Jones are the deal
You can try to run
but then you’d be done
Better let Orton try to slip Lloyd the pill
Reality Check
Oh no, the Chefs they ain’t for reals -
They barely beat the freaking Bills!
Sunday they’ll leave Big IF
with the very first whiff
the first in a long spell of ills

I know of a place that's as high as a mile
A place that’s seen winning & plenty of smiles
of late it’s been dismal & dreary indeed
where is the pale horse, that champion steed?
running strong through tribulations and trials

Bronco fans love their IN com PLETEs
More so than sacks or touchdowns
Most teams would kinda frown
But with McD as Billicheck wannabe
You’re sure to see a win by KC
Topsy turvy
My whole world is upside down.
Hillis is now a Brown.
KC’s now the best
Of the AFC West
And the Phonz picked one for a touchdown.
It’s OK. I am calm. I’m alright.
It’s darkest before the dawn’s light.
This season’s not great
But I anticipate
In time the Broncos will be great!
The Broncos have nothing to lose.
Their destiny is theirs to choose.
When KC preps this game,
They will go insane.
Our new Oline will have them confused.
That’s right, injuries are a pain.
And because of them we lost some games.
But our hosses are BACK.
And to Cassel, we’l SACK.
And JCharles will not have a good game.
The season has been a hard slog.
But the Broncs are the BEST underdogs.
And now we are healthy,
So our chief-hunt is stealthy.
And Sunday, they’ll think they’ve been flogged.
Don’t believe all the media distortin’.
There are some good things we are sportin’.
Lloyd, Decker, Royal, Moreno,
Demaryius: all are insano!
With our new Oline, we’ll WIN with Orton!
-Harvey J. Neptune

Living in opposite land
Just one year ago we were 6 and 2
The rest of that season turned into poo
But this year McD joined opposite land
Starting 2-6, our record will end up grand
And we’ll even win the AFC West too!

Matt Cassel's a pretty boy dud
He’ll be sacked with a booming thud
The Chiefs are pretenders
the ketchup & mustard will be bewildered
cause we all know who’s the true AFC West stud.
Al Davis, as we all know, is a lich
He’s always gonna be Mike Shanahan’s bit*h
He keeps his towel on his lap with glee
to soak up the uncontrollable pee
Now we all know why his skybox has a stench.

I’ll throw in my hat
That Cassel gets it to Bowe
More than you all can know!
I really do suck at this!
Speaking of that man named Bowe
He can’t catch anything that Cassel can throw
Even when the ball hits him square
which coming from Cassel is rare
All the Chief fans slap their heads and yell ’DOH.

Classic Bronco Fan
There once was a man from Nantuckett,
If it wasn’t Orange and Blue he’d chuck it,
He said with a wide smile,

Had to edit and re-post this one from the Ravens limerick post by KB back before Week 5, because it’s…. Well, classic. ( =

Come one, come all and see the show
Lloyd will catch and Orton will throw
The field of play, electric with desire
pumped up with rage, that redeeming fire
back to KC, the Chiefs will limp and moan
There once was a line as stellar as a star
they blocked with dominance, a juggernaut of war
but injuries and inexperience have taken it’s toll
rendered them useless and stolen their soul
now healthy, this juggernaut shall be restored
A boost to our team is needed
how we’ve all endlessly begged & pleaded
for starters to return to action
to regain some momentum and traction
at Mile High, on Sunday, the Chiefs will be defeated
The loudest cheers on Sunday will be from Bridget
Her husband Kyle’s play will cause Chiefs fans to fidget
For now KC is the best
Team there is in the West
But that’s like saying they are the tallest midget
"He uses statistics as a drunken man uses lamp-posts... for support rather than illumination."
- Andrew Lang (1844-1912)
How about
I’m sure that the whole world is shakin
Cause the AFC west Chiefs are takin
All the Raiders are in Jail
And the Chargers have failed
and the Broncos fans have forsaken
I love it when a plan comes together!
