McDaniels wanted to trade Orton in the preseason?

I wonder where Woody Paige got his sources? This kind of changes my opinion of Josh McDaniels (not by much)

i think it is true because ortons value was probably at its highest at that point too bad he didnt do it cause 3-10 looks alot better with a rookie qb

I think Woody is a flat out liar .If you follow the timeline it totally contradicts everything Woody said in that article.

Orton was a RFA he could only be traded if he signed his tender and we also placed a 1st rd tender on him . Woody can just make stuff up because he knows no one is gonna call him on it .

I'm not entirely sure what you mean there.

Orton was not re-signed until he had been to TC and had the chance to prove McD wrong initially. I’m not sure how this contradicts the time line that is layed out.

McDaniels himself said they had been working on the deal for months and both sides wanted to have it done before camp but could never agree on . As I said before Woody is a liar if you follow the trail which is basically posted all over the teams website

Royal said on several occasions that he and orton worked hard to develop some chemistry this past offseason after missing on some opportunities last year and Lloyd and Orton were already close so what receivers are Woody talking about that Orton refused to work out with ? Brandon was not even here so again who are these guys ?

Mcdaniels did a interview in Feb and said Orton was a leader that he would challenge him and that he would respond. I could go on and on and post links and everything disputing just about everything Woody has said.

Its been posted before its amazing how people somehow forget this stuff when its convenient to do so . The only people who believe this rubbish are the ones who have been hating on Orton from the start

and I’m thrilled that somebody besides me see’s Orton’s lack of leadership, on and off the field. If Tebow had started from day one, we could possibly have more wins right now.
