Broncos place FB Spencer Larsen on IR, promote Stanley Daniels

The Denver Broncos placed FB Spencer Larsen on the Reserve/Injured List this afternoon. Larsen injured his ankle in Oakland on Sunday. The team signed Offensive Lineman Stanley Daniels to Larsen's place on the 53 man roster.
Larsen, the 6'2", 243 lb. 3rd year Fullback played in 11 games, starting 5 this season for the Broncos. He had 3 rushes for 18 yards and 5 receptions for 51 yards, including a Touchdown in the victory over Kansas City in Week 10.
6' 4" , 320 lb. Daniels is a 1 year veteran of the NFL. Born 11/30/1984 in San Diego, CA, Stanley played football at Washington before jumping to the NFL in 2009.
Originally signed by the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2007, Daniels has also been a member of the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers.
He has appeared in two games for the Broncos and has been on their Practice Squad recently.

I WOULD let this bother me...
But there are only two games left. The football Gods clearly want to punish the Broncos just a little more in the last weeks of the year.
Here’s hoping Larsen heals up and has no ill effects going forward. And although I would normally NOT look forward to a time without Broncos football, here’s looking forward to this miserable season from Hell being over, and the Broncos getting started on the future.
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.
Oh joy. My boy Stanley Daniels again. He can miss and whiff on a DT stunt with the best of um.
Tebow, but careful when this guy is in the game. Daniels is little more than a large pylon.

Speaks volumes
that a guy that cleared waivers can still make our roster. Even with all of the injuries throughout the league the Broncos are the only team that sees fit to include Daniels in thier 53. I do like his size. Maybe the coaches see something in him that will blossom into a fine player.

Can Daniels play FB?
We have seen that in the past. Get Daniels a few reps and let him be the lead blocker, if we have any RBs left to block for.

I think it's just our team in general

We need a change in S&C Coaches,
however last season we didn’t get hit hard by injuries. I think I remember McD talking last summer about how we were one of the least injuried teams in 09’. Champ, Harris, Orton. Only key injuries I can personally remember.
As they like to say in the tech world, RNG is RNG. And injuries are certainly of the random type. Hell, you could build an RNG off of injuries if you are really clever. 08’ terrible, 09’ was ok, objectively ’10 has been middle of the road, we got more healthy as the season went on, though Dooms injury makes it feel much worse.

Wouldn’t you guys have liked to see Larsen and Mays in at ILB for one series in garbage time just to see if they could at least light somebody up? Or is this just me…?

Bad timing for the injuries. With two games left, the Broncos will have to endure some punishment before the season ends. When Larsen heals, we hope this won’t have a negative effect on Bronco’s forward. Again, while I don’t doubt there will be a Broncos football, it may be a miserable season for them.
