Why Choose between K.O. and Tebow?

Hello and Happy Holidays! I have a suggestion of what to do with Kyle Orton, and curious what thoughts the MHR world has regarding it. It's very different, so consider it before you dismiss it.

I want to preface this by saying I agree COMPLETELY with starting Tebow because the season is basically over. My problem is Kyle Orton was very good all season excluding the last 2 games. It's hard to bench arguably the best offensive player all season for any reason. I don't blame K.O. for our record. Granted he could have gotten us a few more wins as he was in a position to have a game-winning drive a couple times, but you can't ask ANY QB to try and outscore another team when the defense allows 30 pts week in and week out. He could have played better but we are a bad defensive team.

Here is my suggestion. Instead of having K.O. ride the pine, have Tim Tebow and K.O. line up in shot gun, about a yard apart. Put a RB behind them. Then have the center snap. The defense would not know which QB would be getting the snap, whether Tebow would run, pass, or hand of the ball. Whether K.O. would pass, hand off, or hit Tebow in the flat. If need be Tebow could pass block, he's huge and can protect K.O.

I know this is not typical, but basically Tebow replaces the fullback, yet takes snaps. similar to the wildcat, except its a dual quarterback system. It would take the team a while to do that, and would take solid intelligence to get the calls right, but the passing routes wouldn't change. The only people who would need to master this "system" would be Tebow, Orton, and Walton. I believe this would be VERY hard to gameplan defensively, and keeps all our playmakers on the field.

Before you go "that's stupid" or "this guy is an idiot" or "that would never work" take a deep breath and consider it. The same things were said about the wildcat and Miami made it work for a while. Just because it hasn't been done doesn't mean it can't. Maybe this wouldn't work, but I think its worth consideration. I first considered it when Pat White came out of college, at the time I thought White/Cutler combination would work, honestly Tebow/Orton is better.

So what do you guys think?
