A new name for the coaching void

There's one name that belongs in the coaching rumour list, and that's Marc Trestman.

Trestman has spent the past few years coaching my Montreal Alouettes to a loss, then a win, in the grey cup, while turning a 34-year-old quarterback with thoughts of retirement into arguably the greatest CFL quarterback of all time (to be fair, Anthony Calvillo had been considered a hall-of-famer, but 3 bad years and retirement speeches get most people off the bandwagon). Trestman has created the most feared offense in the CFL.

When we look at Trestman's past jobs, the coincidences start to get eerie. Trestman had previously served as the offensive coordinators of the san francisco 49ers nfc finalist and oakland raiders superbowl teams. Sound familiar?

Finally, (since Tebow love is important to many), Trestman was the guy who gave Tebow that crash course in throwing mechanics just before the draft.

While I'm sure that a lot of you are tired of offensive, passing guru-type coaches, more talent on the defensive side would make coaching much easier, and we can still hire a great defensive coordinator.
