Hi MHR, my name is Herb and I am a football junkie. No, I am not here hoping to find a cure for my addiction, just looking for my latest fix. I visit this site multiple times a day because I know if I don't, I am going to get hopelessly behind trying to read all the posts and then read ALL the comments. I love this stuff.
I have yet another viable candidate for the Bronco's HC position. I know we have many suggestions already, but what does it hurt too add one more. My addition to our growing candidate list would be former Green Bay Packer's and current Texas A&M HC Mike Sherman.
Sherman has been coaching since 1978, from HS to college to the pro's. As the HC of the Packers, he was 57-39 in regular season and 2-4 in postseason. Only losing season in Green Bay was his last one at 4-12. He took over a pretty bad squad at A&M and in three seasons has turned the program around.
I know he is another coaching candidate that has an offensive background, having served as OL coach and OC over several stops in his career, but he has been a successful HC who only had one bad year. At one point, before his 4-12 final season, his winning percentage was second only to Vince Lombardi in Packers history. I don't know what coaches he would bring with him, maybe Kubiak as his OC (if the Texans fire him), as they have worked together at least twice that I know of. Once at A&M, then later with the Texans.
